Honestly, I don't see him playing in ACC championship. The worse the story gets, the more pressure FSU face in suspending him. I expect them to comment on this story sometime on Friday or next week.

I hope they move quickly to charge him or say he won't be charged. What if FSU is #2 in the BCS then JW is charged and can't play? FSU back up QB is injured. No body needs this hanging over their head for long.

I agree, with one caveat: not at the expense of a proper investigation.


Of course, if there's any truth - which seems quite likely at this point - to the Tallahassee Police Department's mishandling of the initial investigation then there will likely be an investigation into that initial one as well as some follow-up to this one, regardless of whatever charges may or may not be filed.



There's definitely not enough information out there to may any truly informed judgments but I have a hard time believing that a lawyer would make these statements - especially going so far as to name a specific detective - knowing that those statements were false. In this case, Jameis Winston may in fact be innocent. I have a hard time believing that the TPD is, though, in this case.

Football implications are the least important issues regarding this case. It seems the local PD felt differently and that is going to cause them a lot of grief. Football concerns can now take a back seat while justice proceeds.

Positive DNA match. From what I hear the victim reported the incident an hour afterward and showed clear signed of a violent assault. Winston is probably finished.

yep! Selfishly I want them to wait until 12/9 to suspend him. The final BCS standings are out and FSU will be stuck playing BAMA with a 3rd string QB.

Not trying to funny or insensitive to the situation, but, it looks like ESPN has a new 30 For 30 episode in the making.."Fall From Grace..The Jameis Winston Downfall"..And it's definitely looking pretty damming for Jameis & I'm leaning toward suspending him from college football..Cause being a Dad of two girls, rape is something I have nightmares over & don't think college football should tolerate in the least, as my girls start to dating, Messes with a Dad's mind the older his girls become..
