Anyone can have a bad day. I hope he didn't go too far, and I hope his family is okay.
I can't see any circumstance where being charged with domestic assault with a deadly weapon is just having "a bad day".

Right now we know almost nothing. Trying not to jump to conclusions. But you are right that it looks really bad.

True. With that in mind, I only referred to being charged. No judgement made as regards guilt. Terrible for the family, in any case.
I know a guy who was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon for dropping a wrench on a co-worker.
There was some prior animosity between the two and the co-worker claimed the wrench was thrown at his head - and he wasn't actually charged, iirc, or else the charges were dropped - but still...

In some states it would not take much. Scare someone while holding almost anything in your hands and you could get charged for this in some states.
Funny thing is I knew a guy whose name was Jeremy, but it was spelled Jerome.
