Something is wrong here. If Jacobs really did ask Tubbs three times yesterday to remain, yet he chose to leave anyway, why is Auburn paying him $6 million dollars? That was not the terms of the contract. Obviously, all this talk is window dressing, just putting a positive spin on his dismissal.

Plus, the way I understood JJ it was agreed tubs would stay out of coaching for a year before they agreed/offered the "pro-rated" buyout (hence 5.1mil and not the 6mil)

You are totally wrong here. The buyout money would come from the Auburn Athletic Fund not Colonial Bank.
