Joe McKnight sprained his knee trying to block in practice yesterday at the University of Spoiled Children (USC) and will be out for the rest of the week. Their second-leading rusher last season, Emmanuel Moody, is going to transfer to another school, it's being reported. Didn't say which school. He was one of three USC tailbacks who appeared on the regional cover of Sports Illustrated's college football preview edition. Looks like everything isn't quite perfect in la la land in Southern CA.

They're fine at running back. Moody is transferring because he was a big prospect and he's buried on the depth chart beneath a bunch of other better prospects.

With the depth of quality guys they have, I don't think McKnight is going to get a ton of carries this year. I think they'll use him a little more in the passing game.....line him up in the backfield and then split him out wide against a linebacker or a safety.

The bigger concern should be Mark Sanchez getting hurt. If Booty gets nicked up at all in the first few weeks then they don't have much behind him......a 5th year senior who has never played and a true freshman.

Should have come home to Mama, when he had the chance - huh?

I don't think USC has anything to worry about. They have a boat load of running backs and Moody may not have gotten any playing time if he had stayed. With the talent they have stockpiled even if Pete Carroll were to leave tommorrow they would be a great team for a few years to come. They have talent to burn.
