I don't understand. Why would Bama fans give money to keep JR at LSU???Six months ago people on this board would give money to keep JR around for another year. Funny how things change. Their backups are still quite good.
Being a Bama fan it seems like Jamarcus has been @ LSU for 15 -20 years.Although I would love to see Jamarcus return next year, I feel very confident in what we have returning. The favorite to win the starting job is Matt Flynn whose only start was against Miami- I think he represented himself well. He was also highly rated coming out of highschool and gave Jamarcuss all he could handle in competition for the starting QB. Right behind him is R. Perriloux who was the #1 all purpose QB out of high school 2yrs. ago. He was a Commit to Texas and would be starting there right now (Colt McCoy was our commit) if Les Miles wasn't coach of LSU.
The problem with Jamarcus came in his usually having to bail out the team in the last minute due to mistakes that he made earlier in the game. However, he seems to have turned the corner these last 7 games and would be a terror next year.
Since when did real Bama fans want to play weaker teams? Victories are pretty shallow when they come against teams that aren't at full strength. I doubt beating us the last few years has meant much to many teams because most teams have been beating us. I want all the teams we play to be at full strength so they don't have any excuses when we beat them, and if we play a team that beats us, we tip our caps and say good game. Being a Bama fan has nothing to do with being afraid of other teams. This should help in getting a W this year for the lsu game.....amazing talent and Saban recruited:

Ya think he's learned that the SEC (or college ball in general) is a little tougher than high school? I think he thought he was going to be an instant impact player and beat out Russell. But Russell had other plans :smile:Right behind him is R. Perriloux who was the #1 all purpose QB out of high school 2yrs. ago.
Have they managed to correct Perriloux's attitude problem? He showed up talking like he was the greatest thing to ever hit a gridiron, to the point that LSU upperclassmen were talking about administering and attitude adjustment.Their backups aren't too shabby...
LSU was probably the deepest team in the SEC at QB this year.Their backups aren't too shabby...
