Isn't it nice to be bowl elgible half way through the season instead of at the end?

I am pretty upset today, not because of the Bama game... that was great! I am upset because I realised today (after the ref's gave USC the game) that my 'true dream season' of us going to the Rose Bowl isnt going to happen. The realization of the fact that no one is going to beat Texas or USC this year upsets me. It kinda puts a dead end on the potential this magical team has.

Its a torn feeling though, because we are ALREADY bowl elgible!! That has me excited when you look at what the expectations were at the beginning of the season. This year instead of estimating IF we will be going to a bowl, we get to try and figure out WHAT bowl we are going to!!! That's pretty damn cool!

Anyways, we will for sure go to a Bowl this year, and we still have a chance to run the table. It sure would be nice to atleast have a chance to play for all the marbles though :( .

If we beat UT next week, my mood will be MUCH better!! heh :D

I disagree that the refs gave USC that game. ND blew it on the 4th down play. Once USC made that play, I knew they were going to win.

We still have a chance, it's possible (though not likely) that UCLA could beat USC, and that TT could beat Texas, or Va Tech lose in the ACC CG.

However, let's just win our games. We gotta do that before worrying about what anyone else does.

The refs gave them the game in this respect. They fumbled the ball out of bounds, which stopped the clock. Thats fine, but atleast spot the ball where the ball went out of bounds!!

Instead they spotted the ball where his forward progress was at, but going by that logic the clock shouldnt have stopped.

The ball should have been spot almost at the 3 yard line, unless it was a bad angle :D hehe.

I think you are right Selma-Bama-Fan about the spot of the ball it should have been on the 2 or 3 yard line. I also agree with skrayper77 that ND gave it up on 4th down there at the end, they should have been able to hold them. That's just a very good football team playing good ball. Also, USC Coach never even thought of going for the field goal to tie the game...never...nothing but confidence in his program. Most teams would have done what, tie the game and try their luck in OT. IMO, that is what separates the men from the boys. My question though is did anyone see Reggi B push his Qb into the end zone for the touchdown? How did the Ref's miss that one!?! :conf2:
