Just got back from the game

And I would have to say that my favorite parts were as follows:

The third best crowd of the year following N.C State and Arkansas.
Standing up for the whole second half.
The behind the back pass from Felix to Gee.
The almost alley oop from Steele to Brock.
The best Rammer Jammer of the year.
Marks Madness chanting ballerina for five minutes in reference to Davis leggings.
Someone from Marks Madness saying to Davis "Take your leotards off and put on your diapers because you just got sodomized."
The standing ovation for Wimp.
The forearm from Hendriz to Davis and laying him on the court, although Davis should have been called for the foul before hand.
The fans chanting overrated as the LSwho players boarded the buses.
Everyone staying the whole game, including the LSwho fans who thought they might come back.
Richard Hendrix and Jean Felix defense.
Ronald Steele knowing Brandon Hollinger would make that three before halftime.

And the game ball goes to Ronald Steele, whose may have scored 21 points but realize that most of them came in the paint against those big guys.

And although I go to every football, basketball, baseball game we play, I bring my headphones to hear the play by play and Chris Stewart is the best. I wish he did football. He loves Alabama athletics and loves the Universitity and I wish he called the football games, sorry to offend any Eli Gold fans!

This game we played as hard as I've seen us play in years. Not saying we don't play hard usually but we were diving all over the place, putting pressure on the ball, rebounded pretty well.

Me personally, I've always been clueless as to why fans chant "overrated" when you beat a team who's more highly ranked. It's like your disparaging your own team's effort, well we beat you but it wasn't cause of what we did, it's cause you're really not that good. Maybe it's just me but I've never understood that.

I agree, besides being a little Barnerish, I think that screaming over-rated is stupid. Plus, the fact that we squeaked this game out and fans screamed this means (in a roundabout way) that we weren't that good either.

But anyways... I think we should just stick to the Rammer Jammer. And by the way, that RJ was loud! I could hear it clearly on the tv.

good, I thought maybe I was the only one. It's kinda bizarre in my opinion. It's like being elected president and saying you only won cause the other guy was a total goof. Makes no sense.

And I love the RJ, some people(the losers of the game) might say it's classless but I like it, always have.

If Rammer Jammer is the worst that we do, I can live with it. At least our fans don't rock the other team's bus like some fans in the SEC (i.e. LSU  ).

Yea, I hate the overrated cheer....I didnt hear it being said Saturday though. I mean, they were 24 in one poll and unranked in the other

The overrated chant is one of the best in sports.

Why you may ask?

It is not because it cheapens your victory over a higher ranked opponent and in turn making your team seem worse at the same time.

Nay, it is much easier than that.

Think of this... Have you ever been to a Bama game in the past and we lost to a lesser opponent, then got to hear the overrated chant at the end of the game?

If you have, then you know the emotions that come along with it. It makes you so angry, upset, etc.

IMHO chanting overrated is no different than chanting Rammer Jammer after beating a team by a point, or any slight margin of victory.

We just beat the H out of you, but the scoreboard reads 80-79.

Like I said I enjoyed it

It wasnt said during the game, just by fans as the LSwho players were boarding the bus. I yelled Rammer Jammer at several football games this year including Ole Sis, Ucheat, and the Cotton Bowl, attended all three. Doesnt mean we beat the he!! out of them, wished we would have but whats the difference in chanting overrated and singing Rammer Jammer after a close win, in my opinion, its Tradition, and thats what we have. Id do it again and plan on doing it tomorrow night when we beat Vandy by one or fifty, or just like I have at every Bama game I have attended in the last 20 years. JMHO
