your favorite kickoff return for a td mine was ray ogden thanksgiving day 1964 107 tards to open the second half when auburn was leading 7-6 at halftime we went on to win 21-14 and finish the regular season at 10-0

The Original "Deuce"

Pierre Goode #2
1988 100 yds (actually 102) vs. Ole Miss

I'll never forget the run, he was pure speed. My 2nd would be 1984, 99 yds Kerry Goode vs. Boston College (1st half - he broke his leg and did not return in the 2nd and we lost because of a Doug Flutie led comeback)

glad somebody else remembers

YES, YES, YES, Thanksgiving day 64,
the turkeys were in blue and orange.
The only Alabama football game I got to see with my grand-dad.

I have mentioned that Ray Ogden return in several threads about favorite plays, but have never had anyone reply about it.

At least a few around here go that far back.

All I heard about leading up to that game was about the great Auburn backfield of Jimmy Sidle and Tucker Fredrickson.
After that I heard - "Bama National Champs".

I agree. That thing was about 108 yards. I was screaming "No, No" when he starting bringing it out. Of course, I couldn't see all the downfield blocking he was looking at.

Actually Kerry Goode's TD return (which was fantastic) was the opening KO of the 2nd half. He blew out his knee early in the 3rd quarter. KGs is my favorite, and Pierre's is a great one too.

I was there, but it was over 20 yrs ago, dude. :p
