Kill the cam newton thread!!!

What in the HECK!!!???? I just noticed the board statistics for the thread on Cam. Check yourselves, people!!!

That thread has accomplished in 5 days what has taken our sacred "Hat Thread" over 39 months to achieve:

Replies: Hats = 1660, Newton = 1602

Views: Hats = 132,000+, Newton = 112,000+

For the love, can a moderator not just shut that thing down before it becomes the highest ranking thread in the HISTORY of Tidefans??? What does this say about us? A National Championship, hiring and firing coaches, #1 recruiting classes, and the thing we've loved to discuss the most is the possible eligibility issue with the Barn's QB? To me, that's embarrassing.:frown:

Auburn is going for a NC and we are playing for a bowl position. It is the flavor of the day, nothing more. If Alabama were undefeated right now, that thread wouldn't be as big, but it would still be garnering many views and posts.
