KW, SEC POTY candidate? Not hardly

I do not believe what I am reading!!!!!

I don't think the game against Charlotte was televised but I was at the game. I can tell you that KW totally dominated the game when Davis got into foul trouble and when Shelton could not hit the open jumper. If ANYONE does not think that he is a POY candidate, you need to open your eyes. I'm sure the UNCC players would agree that he is one of the best players in the SEC - maybe one of the best in the country. Just because he does not dominate every game he plays in does not mean that he is not a POY candidate. Give the guy a break.

This isn't the football board. Maybe next time you should think before you jump on someones back...then you won't look as ridiculous as you do now.

You know, one of the first things I heard Chris talk about on the pre-game show was how Kennedy wasn't happy with his play in Alaska. I simply stated that up until that point he hadn't shown up in their biggest games. I stated that prior to any performance last night. I wasn't critical of him personally.......I simply stated that his performance UP TO THAT POINT hadn't been that of a POTY candidate........

So.......obviously had I been as intelligent and had the foresight of you, I wouldn't have made that initial post........

Kennedy, I humbly apologize for doubting your future performance based on what I had seen........I am forever in your debt.......

I love this website, and look forward to cordial friendly commentary. I don't ever attack anyone on here for their opinion.........I guess it's just frustrating when i'm willing to have an opinion.......and someone......is just waiting to jump on it........

Arrrrgh!! Roll Tide.......and KW, great game! You won it for us

I think...

what you are running into is resentment over your subject line and how early in the season you ruled him out as POTY. There are many ways you could have stated concern without that alarmist headline. BB was the last active sport I played (I don't count golf :)), and I played it until I was 61, four years ago, when an accumulation of injuries finally put me down. Over those years, I had to come back from one ACL and two meniscuses - so I know what comebacks feel like. KW is still playing his way back to peak form and he'd be the first to tell you that. To rule him out after few games seemed both rash and a bit cruel. Many times, it's not what you say - it's how you say it...

Touche!

The post in its original form was really more of a frustration that he wasn't able to step up during the Washington game.......when Shelton couldn't do anything while on the bench.......

But I do take your feedback constructively.......thanks!

id like to see winston with the POTY but it wont happen. rashad mccants has that locked down i believe. if he keeps up its a one man race.
McCants plays for UNC. They aren't in the SEC, so he isn't eligible to win SEC POTY...

I think KW is a front-runner for SEC PotY and a darkhorse for National PotY, but McCant's award to lose at this point.
