Kyle Tatum

While I do not have a total off hand, my opinion is that Kyle was a tad above average considering that it was his first year at the position. RTR :biga:

Agreed. Even though we supported Tatum with a TE often, his learning curve was steep and I think he did as well or better than expected. I look for him to be a solid lineman next yr.

While Tatum certainly struggled at times, "stunk it up" is way too strong. Of all the offensive players, he had the most to learn, and I would go as far as to say he improved as much as anyone on the team. As far as penalties, I heard #51 and #70 called out on several occasions. It happens to the best. I've got high hopes for the O-line next year even though senior leaders will have to be replaced. Its the key to next year, IMO.

RT K Tatum

He had a good year for a first year starter as a true soph. He learned a new position and improved quickly. Britt said he was further along on the mental side than he (britt) was as a freshman. Part of it is they are getting coached better in that area.

The holding calls on him were mostly in the first half of the season. I doubt if he had many more penalties than the other lineman for the whole year.

Tatum has potental to be a very good lineman. He's 6-7 and almost 300 lb already. We'll be running behind him a fair amount the next couple years.

The untimely penalties against Arkansas marked the low point of his learning curve. From there he progressed nicely. As the others say, he'll be a good one.

Roll Tide!

I don't think he "stunk it up" at all. The term "stunk it up" would be more suitably used in conjunction with the SEC officials, and I believe that would be a more of a compliment than anything else regarding their collaborative officiating skills.
