I think Joe would make a good coach. He certainly knows sec defense. He also knows the players mindset right now and probably understands the recent grievances and their possible solutions. He cant like watching a good defense be constantly beaten by offensive blunders so he would need a good OC and line coach. A coach that successful in the SEC on defense would be able to make any hard decisions on personnel and coaches. Let Kines coach!

I don't think we'd have to talk him into it, nor would we have to pay him $2 Million a year. I don't know what his salary is now, but give him a decent raise, then give him the reigns and tell him to show us what he can do.

I wonder how angry good ol' Rader would be if a guy he's coached with for several years hired a new OC to replace him? That'd certainly be interesting.

I agree 100%! If MM is forced to even take a peek at the C-list of candidates, just give it to Kines and see what he can do with it.

It's either that, or give CGS a call. He said he wouldn't mind coming back!!

I say let him coach too, he has a hard nosed demeanor the kids need a dose of. We could even allow an OC to call plays.
