What are your early thoughts about the '26 schedule???
Sept. 5 - East Carolina
Sept. 12 - @ Kentucky
Sept. 19 - FSU return game
Sept. 26 - South Carolina
Oct. 3 - @ Miss. St.
Oct. 10 - Georgia
Oct. 17 - @ Hillbillies
Oct. 24 - TAMU
Oct. 31 - bye
Nov. 7 - @ LSU
Nov. 14 - @Vandy
Nov. 21 - Chatt. Mocks
Nov. 28 - the barn - "thumb plus pointer finger" game
Obviously, the meat of the schedule is Georgia, UT, TAMA and LSU, but outside of those 4 games in 5 weeks, I think the schedule is very favorable and maybe the easiest regular season we've drawn in several years.
I think the away game against KY followed by the home game against FSU early on will be telling. How we are prepared for an SEC team on the road and how we follow that up with FSU will depend on how dominant we can be against these two teams. Go 2-0 with solid wins in those games and we are looking good early!
I know the major talking points will be: 1. who's the starting QB, 2. is the OL/RB fixed/improved AND 3. do we show more physicality and preparation/readiness for each game.
If I assume we are solid or improved in these areas:
9-3 would seem to be our basement
10-2 very achievable
11-1 means solid QB play and OL and running game verify
12-0 QB turns out to be a star as a first year starter and OL and running game are surprisingly solid
I know it's early and I know we may learn a lot more during/after Spring practice, but it's the off-season, so what have you got on the '26 schedule???
