i hear that gregory and booth are doing well in fall practices. anybody got any info on the tulledge boys. they both started at times last year, but seem to be low profile this year. also hear that nixon is coming along on the mound. :BigA::BigA::BigA::BigA:

I guess the d is "close" to the b on the qwerty keyboard!!! ;)

Seriously I haven't heard anything about the Tulledge boys, would not be surprised if they are regulated to back-up/defensive roles.

i talked to a guy today that had talked to their dad and he said that one was looking to start at third ahead of the freshman and the other was penciled in to be the left fielder.

I know this will sound as a shot to both of them, but I really don't intend for it to be that way. From everything I've heard they're great guys. But...

As great as it is for them and all, if James is still our best option at an infield position, then I'm worried. Not so much for his glove, which is decent, but rather because of his offense. Jeremiah, at least, was a freshman last year, which provides a pretty reasonable excuse for offensive struggles, but he'll need a ton of improvement from what I saw from last year.

Just judging by what I've seen with my own eyes, if one or both of those are in our lineup, we won't have as potent a lineup as we think.

I disagree. I know both of those boys personally and if given the chance, they will produce. It won't be easy at 3B. I am still banking on Cole. Heard he is a stud.

Booth and Gregory are both having great falls, Gregory especially is twice the player right now than he was last year. You won't see either Tullidge boys this years unless it is in mop up duty. Cole will be at third and outfield with Dugas, Miller, and Gregory, and others waiting is pretty stout! The Crimson White game is set for Friday afternoon November 4th, come see the talent out there this year. I think in the scrimmage on this past Friday there were something like 19 hits on one team, one of which was a huge bomb Rosecrans delivered.

if cole slumps early or needs a year to grow into the sec do you see booth moving to third or tulledge? who would be the next catcher and would that make the tide stronger or just hurt them at another place?

Booth could possibly move back to 3rd and Montgomery catch, but that hurts us at the plate. Tullidge has big time "happy feet" and that's not good at third base, especially in the SEC. There have been some others at third some this fall, just can't recall all the new names, I'll pay more attention the Crimson/White game.

If we're banking on the Tullidge brothers at any point this year, we're gonna be mediocre just like we were last year.

Cameron Carlisle is a local but he was actually recruited and signed. He HAS to be better than Gregory, right? Please tell me the reason Gregory would start over Carlisle is because Carlisle is hurt and not a recruiting mistake.

I think Booth will be solid this year wherever he is. He was at least another kid that people actually recruited.

But we can't keep fielding the West Alabama All-Stars every year and expect to be any good.
