I'm still around too :) Although I dont post as much as I used to due to work and stuff.

I must say THANK YOU for this thread though. The names that it has brought out really sparks my memory. The arguements that The Tusk and Sac got into on this forum back in the day were legendary (maybe that will make sac post here too! lol :D )

Also, I'm glad bamajim is about to start writing again for TF.com. I miss his input.

Just to give everybody a sense of the context of what happened i'll use this metaphor: the old board was like flying a hang glider, there were only a few switches and buttons to push that could affect anything. The current software is more like flying a 777 with all kinds of bells and whistles...Unfortunately I misread one of the labels on one of the whistles and by the time I realized it, poof, everyone's count was reset...As you can see, I STILL haven't lived it down ! :(

I did a self imposed, in-house discipline: I took 8 lashes with a wet noodle.

I remember you as well. Welcome back and RTR...

I always wondered about TampaJim also. Did I miss news on him? Man that dude had the scoop for sure. You guys on the recruiting boards, your awesome too and thanks, but something about his insight made you feel like you was reading premium stuff.

I always wondered what the reason was for losing the posts. Glad to finally know.....RTR
 
I too have been gone for an extended period of time. I used to be a mod on the high school board. I had to take my son to Arkansas for tratment but now have moved back to the great state of alabama. I have taken a position as Sales Mgr at American Classic Cycles in Pelham al. So if any of you are in the Area stop by and say Hello.

BamaMom is my mom...She escaped from Montgomery and settled near Lake Martin. I recall meeting many of the old gang at a party in Birmingham before I went to UA. I believe we tailgated with BamaLaw on the quad once or twice. She got a real kick out of all these memories...She is a big reason why I started reading on here...RTR to all the good 'ol folks.
 
i ama new to tidefans and well i have to say i love it i will be here everyday love this site thankz all well roll tide give em hell alabama

I first heard about this site on the AM 690 Doug Layton show right after I got my first computer in 1998. It's been a few years and server crashes since then. There were just a small number of posters back during those days.

I have been wanting to ask this for a couple of weeks and now would seem like a good time. What ever happened to Terry (i believe that is right) that used to a mod. He was on here when i first got on but have not seen him in some time. Any info out there?
 
I felt sure that this would get the attention of Naweofbama, but she's probably packing for Jacksonville. Mom got me to read this site years ago and although I don't post much, lurk often!

There's been some good times on this board!
 
I have been away for awhile also. Been posting the last couple of days again. I love this board. Just been working out of town a lot. Good to be back talking with you guys again. RTR
 
I'm still here too although I rarely post these days. It's great to hear from the people who were regular posters back then.

After my post count vanished into cyberspace I lost my motivation to post. :)
Really, I used to work on a trading desk in NYC, and now I'm an outside sales rep in Nashville. I used to live on Tidefans, and now I just lurk.
