I guess I've been a "lurker" for several years now. What an outstanding board! I feel privelaged to be here.
A little about me.. The first BAMA game I attended was the '67 Iron Bowl and Snake's "run in the mud"! Weatherwise the most miserable rainy,muddy mucky conditions imaginable. I was 10 years old. I'll never forget the way the place erupted when Snake made his run, nor will I forget the student that was sitting in the seat next to me. He picked me up and threw me up in the air! (And caught me, thank Goodness!) My favorite BAMA team was the first Wishbone season- '71 I think- Terry Davis, Joe LeBue, Ellis Beck, Steve Baschiglia(?) in the backfield, and of course Johnny Musso. There've been great runners for the Tide, but to me no one I've ever seen with a reckless fighting style of running like Musso had. On defense there are so many great ones over the years- Robin Parkhouse, John Mithchell, Woodrowe Lowe, Cornelius Bennett, Marty Lyons, the list could go on and on-no way I could name all the great ones here!
Anyway, I was fortunate enough to attend the University for a while in '77
and I will always be a tidefan! And I'm honored to be in such good company! Roll TIDE!!
