BREAKING LSU Firing Brian Kelly

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Alex Atkins, from current staff, formerly OC Fla St. I tried to link the source from nola.com but struck out.
So the OC from last year when they won 2 games? They were the 131th ranked scoring offense last year.

I'd say we should feel good about the LSU game, but Alabama has played some of their worst football against talented but under-achieving teams the past couple of years so I'm not taking anything for granted.

Kiffin could do so much more at LSU than he ever could at Ole Miss. Those jobs simply aren't the same.

That isn't the point I was trying to make, but you are right there is no comparison to the potential ceiling of either place. Kiffin can stay at Ole Miss though, win 9-10 ball games a year, occasionally make the CFB playoff and have a job for the next 10 years or more. If he does that at LSU while losing to Bama, 8&4, Arky, and even Ole Miss every other year or so, he'll be fired in less than 5.

True, but guys like Kiffin don’t really look at it that way. They believe that they will be successful and be the guy to put a program like LSU back at the top. And frankly if they didn’t, they wouldn’t have gotten as far as they have.

I'm sure he's a mediocre coach but I don't love that they have bye week to change stuff around. Probably going to run some stuff we've never seen on tape from them.
