LSU game and SEC officials

I was pretty disgusted by the officiating at the LSU-OS game this past weekend. OS hung with a flat LSU team into OT. The officials basically willed LSU into the end zone with defensive pass interference calls. The first replay showed that the defender did grab the jersey for less than a second and then let go. With the second call, there was no obvious interference at all. While I know that LSU is a defending national champ and likely to be a big moneymaker for the SEC in January, it still seemed to me that the officials should have been less obviously biased against OS. I found myself rooting for OS as a result, though I usually pull for SEC teams (with the exception of the Viles) in non-conference games.

The officials for the LSU/OSU game were from the PAC-10.

nope they were SEC types

the officials were sec scrubs and even made reference to them during the game and how OS wasn't getting the good ol boy treatment in the sec field!!

I was at our game and did not see this, but lots of folks have been talking about it. The calls in our game were not good, particularly the touchback on the punt call in the 2nd quarter. The officiating in the USC vs. Va. Tech game was very poor. I cringed every time the announcers made a point of saying "this is an SEC crew". And it's not just that they make lousy calls, it's that a high percentage of them seem to influence the outcome of games.

I do not see this in other conferences' games.

The SEC officiating department needs to start over.

Overall I didnt find the refs to be that one-sided but the two holding calls on OSU should not have been called. Especially the 2nd one.
