LSU Game to be on CBS

If it makes you feel any better, those two clowns probably hate it as much as we do. And go ahead and plan on Danielson bringing up the helmet throwing incident more than once.

Could we just throw a helmet at him. Would that incur any penalties?

And you know they are going to bring up that stat about no heisman again.

They didn't let us down.. they did it this past game.. Looking forward to seeing it again...

You have to view those two with a sense of humor I mean Verne is affable and better than Gary he just gets flustered & excited and says the wrong thing, he means well but Gary is a dud NFL Lions QB who knows some football but lacks alot of tact in what he says and who he says it about. Trust me CBS gets ratings through the roof when 'Bama plays they are not replaceing Verne or Gary Be thankful the only chance Auburn has to be on CBS is our game now that is a recruiting tool.

And I thought we might have a 2-week hiatus from "I hate Verne and Gary" comments. Seems like hating those two has become a cottage industry. :rolleye2:

I've got that network solved. I listen to the game on the Crimson Tide Network via XM and sync it with the video feed. Those boys don't bother me at all.

Granted, Eli Gold brings his own set of issues. If I were listening to him WITHOUT the video his mis-calls would bother me more. Usually I can see that what he calls a first down is not a first down, etc.

Well the two biggest games that week are Penn St vs Ohio St and Bama vs LSU so I figure gameday will be at one of them. ESPN will take whichever game they do Gameday at (hopefully Bama).

Oh dear Bear Bryant in heaven please no more CBS games.

1)if the ball is not actually being snapped, we have to see the same 3 commercials repeated ad-nauseum.

2)we miss at least 3 plays per quarter because Verne can't shut up.

3) we have to watch at least two plays on the monitor in the back of the studio behind Verne's head.

4) there is NO coverage of the sidelines or crowd.

5) the graphics block half the screen sometimes

6) they cut to other games and we miss snaps.

7) did I mention the freaking commercials?

Gameday isn't coming here for Alabama/LSU... t's already been confirmed they will be the Navy/Air Force game that day. It's part of a week long military celebration by ESPN to coincide with Veterans Day.

Anyone got the email address for me to write and beg them not to send any announcers? Or maybe Verne will tell the limo driver he wants to go to "Auburn".

Here's an email address you can send to: cbscollegeinfo@cbs.com .

I asked them if there would be any repercussions for Gary Danielson's on-air accusation (after the blocked kick and "no-call" on the helmet throwing by Cody) of a conspiracy by the SEC to keep Alabama and Florida undefeated. That's a pretty serious slander case if the SEC wanted to pursue it. There is a lot of money involved in whether or not your teams get into the big bowls, so accusing the SEC of intentionally rigging games would be a big deal I would think. Hopefully, it's enough to get him fired, or at least reduces him to having to broadcast Auburn & Vandy games for the rest of his career.
