I didn't realize how big until I saw that shot at the end of the game. I thought Holy Moley, or something like that...
In our coach's defense, he wasn't that big coming out of high school I believe. If I recall correctly he had a massive growth spurt. It may have happened between junior and senior year though.Just imagine what might have been for Jake had he came to Alabama out of high school, put in his time as backup to McCarron, all the while learning the game and the system the way coach Saban and our coordinators teach it. He would have been getting some game time experience in mop-up duty and undoubtedly would have been the starter last year. I don't think we'll get to see the full potential of Coker with his short time as a college starter.
I did too. When the camera first panned over to him it was like he leaned over to fit in the frame.I didn't realize how big until I saw that shot at the end of the game. I thought Holy Moley, or something like that...
Jake is still undefeated as a starter. If they could somehow run the table, I think he might be the only QB is school history to go out undefeated (assuming some minimum number of starts). He is not lacking on natural testosterone, that's for sure. Jake the Giant. Lets hope that not starting our favorite QB against Ole Sis does not bite us. I think Ole Miss will drop 2 more.
i remember thinking that after the game too.I didn't realize how big until I saw that shot at the end of the game. I thought Holy Moley, or something like that...
Before I read the explanation, I assumed the "Smoot" measurement had to do with diminutive Mississippi State CB Fred Smoot.I know - I saw that and thought, "He's one and a half Sabans tall!"
Or, per one famous college tradition, he is 1.16 Smoots long (explanation here). I think Saban is about 1.0 Smoots.
