Mark Ingram after the game?

Did anyone hear the question and answer Mark Ingram got/gave after the game?

The reporter asked about how awesome the defense was, and Mark said "Yeah I don't expect any less out of them every game, I'm surprised they put 3 up on the board."

I thought that was hilarious.

I am sad about a few things, like the fact that GM forced ball to Julio. We all know he is going to be double covered and draw a lot of attention, but he will always be there to make plays for us when we need him if we don't focus on him and his play-making abilities. I do give them credit on some coverage too though, cause some of the balls were one-on-one fades and Julio tried his best, and GM could have delivered a better ball, but still you can't complain.

Also, they got to GM on the defensive side a few more times than we have been seeing.

But overall, our defense is still on par. GM can make some throws, Peek can catch them, Ingram can still run, and Richardson is still continuously growing as True Freshman.

What can you say about a bad day, but RTR, with a 19 point win?

Put cody in when we are inside the 5, run it behind him 3 times, and we score touchdowns and not field goals. And I agree, Greg must have listened to all the critics about getting the ball to Julio, he was looking at him all night

Couldn't agree more. Interestingly enough, the one goalline play where Cody was in the game, we rolled out to the opposite side from him to (you guessed it) pass the ball, and McElroy ended up having to throw out of the back of the endzone because we didn't have anyone open.

It appeared to me that once inside the 5 yard line, Alabama's playcalling got way too cute.
We got the ball inside the five what four or five times and came away with five field goals?
To quote a great coach I once heard, "Line up against the guy across the line of scrimmage from you and MAKE HIS [BUTT} QUIT!"

We are experimenting to much. I do not like trying new things in the red zone until you have a lead. I felt the same way last week. I know some will disagree with this, but Julio needs to start making some plays. I know GM was a little off but when a great receiver gets both hands on a ball- he makes the catch. I have not been impressed with #8's effort.

Julio isn't right in the head and/or body right now and you can see it in his game... I don't know what the deal is but nobody is denying he's got the potential to be one of the best receivers we've ever had.

Nobody should get flamed for stating the obvious - it's not like we don't LOVE Julio.

I kept waiting on it but it never comes.

Yes, the CBS commentators mentioned that Julio has some bad wheels right now and his knee has a tendancy to buckle when he attemps a sharp cut when running his patterns. I suspect he is also trying to protect the gimpy leg. He will be fine when he gets healthy.

I had to double check the score to make sure we won the game. 22-3 usually doesn't come with a laundry list of complaints.

Pretty amazing we won by 19 points considering how awkward our offense looked once we got inside the 5 yard line.

But I know you're happy, LT is 14-16 FG's on the season, so maybe you wont hear as many complaints!
