Mass/Active shooters part 4

Stories all over, but the alleged manifesto pages have not been confirmed.
The Nashville Mayor appears to believe them real:

Doesn't prove them real, but I doubt they'd be trying to find the leak over something they could easily compare to the original (in evidence) and identify as fake.

The way they've kept this under wraps for so long, I don't know that we'll ever get official confirmation.

Yeah, I had read that.

Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell said he directed Metro Nashville Law Director Wally Dietz “to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released.”

“I am deeply concerned with the safety, security, and well-being of the Covenant families and all Nashvillians who are grieving,” O’Connell said in a statement.

Podcast host Steven Crowder posted the images online Monday. The writings in the images appear to have language about carrying out a shooting at a school and a date.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said the three images “are not MNPD crime scene images.” A spokesman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the agency was aware of the images but cannot speak to their authenticity.

Clear as mud.

Hopefully all will soon be released. That is how it should be, and should happen ASAP.

A jury has found Jennifer Crumbley, the mother of Michigan school shooter Ethan Crumbley, guilty of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting deaths of four students at Oxford High School in November 2021.

Crumbley was found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting, one for each victim: Madisyn Baldwin, 17; Tate Myre, 16; Justin Shilling, 17; and Hana St. Juliana, 14.

Step in the right direction holding others responsible for these shootings......

Houston megachurch shooter had history of mental illness but still was able to buy a gun, her mother-in-law says

The shooting at Houston’s Lakewood Church over the weekend was a “completely preventable horror” as the woman who opened fire had a notable mental illness but was still allowed to own a gun, her mother-in-law said.

“My daughter-in-law when she was taking medication for schizophrenia was a very sweet and loving woman,” Walli Carranza, the mother-in-law of 36-year-old Genesse Ivonne Moreno wrote in a Facebook post Monday. “But mental illness is real illness and when family members seek emergency protections they’re not doing so for their own sake but for the sake of the person who is ill.”

She had a rap sheet as long as a Walgreens receipt. The picture I saw of her would lead you to believe she likes ready rock.

Good grief.

Last word is 28, 8 of whom are children. They had 800 LEOs in attendance...

I remember when Reagan was running and they kept a daily count on how many days the Iranians had held our people hostage. It was effective messaging, if dishonest.
The same thing could be done with these mass shootings since they are so common. Use the clips of Trump bragging to the NRA how he stood firm against any gun restrictions, period.

this is why we can't have nice things
Actually, you can have as many guns as you want, which is the whole freaking problem in this country.

The 2nd amendment is the worst amendment created by our early government. I truly believe that if they could see the modern-day gun fetish in this country, they would regret that amendment as well. It's basically holding this country hostage.

This shooting should put to bed the stupid argument from gun lovers and conservatives that "we just need more people with guns to stop mass shooting". This event was overrun with armed police and security, and it still happened.

The guns are the problem. Not mental health or bad parenting or any other excuse. It's the guns. Bad parents are always going to exist, mental health is never going away. It's the freaking guns that need to be made illegal.

But, ultimately, nobody really cares about the dead and injured. If people really cared, they would demand change. Most don't make that demand and toss out stupid sayings like "thoughts and prayers" so, this country really could care less about the death toll.

There, my normal mass shooting rant is done. Until next time (probably in a day or so) ... good evening and goodnight.
