Part of me is excited to see them play again. The Florida State Exhibition was sloppy -- but it was missing some important parts. Furman was better, but still sloppy. UND less sloppy, but still not what we thought would happen at MSG on Saturday. Now, I'm afraid of getting TOO optimistic...

We didn't shoot well from 3 -- yet still won that game. If we can come out and shoot well this game, we will be putting an official "watch out" target on our backs...

But I'm pretty interested to see what happens!

Pitino saying the only way to beat us is to win the TO battle told the tale. Hopefully we can win the TO battle tomorrow. I'm hoping to get there a little early. Sometimes I don't make those 6pm games until barely enough time to hit the restroom and get to my seats by tip-off.

After beating St. John's in NY, I was prepare to believe Bama was most likely going to drop the game against Purdue. That was my thought when I thought the game was being play at Purdue. Since learning the game is in Tuscaloosa and my thoughts change....you got to win this marquee match up at home.

The SJU win made us go from 15 to 8. That's already a nice jump.

It's interesting to me that ESPN analytics has us 60/40 over Purdue, but 44/56 against Illinois, and 28/72 against Gonzaga.

Those numbers don't add up. I'm surprised we are favored over Purdue. The game being in Coleman must play a big factor. The Gonzaga game makes absolutely no sense... We're ranked higher AND it's a "neutral" site game.

On KenPom Gonzaga is 3 and we're 19. On Torvick Gonzaga is 10 and we're 19. On ESPN Power Index Gonzaga is 3 and we're 17. Right now, the analytics don't love us.

they are basing our analytics on pre-season expectations and Sears isn't here to prop up our numbers like last year. After about 10 games it will work itself out
