I'm sure glad this kid decided to sign with Bama! RTR

Breaking the heart of Texas

"I understand there are better players in the country than me," McElroy said. "I don't know if Tim Tebow is better than me. That's not something I'll ever find out. But obviously in Alabama's eyes, he was.

"But I'm fine being the next guy they came to. Being the No. 2 guy on Alabama's recruiting board is still pretty darn good."

Higher Power ??

Maybe the man upstairs had something to do with us going to the Cotton Bowl after all. Wouldn't it be interesting to see how things shake out for us in the future with this kid. Again, maybe divine intervention occurred when we went to Dallas versus Atlanta. Funny how things seem to work out when you put your trust in the right places.

After reading the article about GM, I could really care less that we didn't sign that guy from Florida who made an 890 on his SAT (I'm not going to mention his name because he seems to take over every thread). It seems like GM really wants to play for UA and that's bound to count for something.

It's not how you start but how you finish. There's been a many of football player that came into D-1 football with other players "ranked" ahead of them. But when their college career was over they ended up having the better college career.

It's what you do once you're here(in college) not how you did when you were there (in highschool).

He has every right to be confident. He had better stats than Mitch Mustain last year and against killer competition. I also love the fact that he stepped into a situation last year with enormous expectations and he delivered big-time. I'm sure he's aware of the expectations that come with playing for BAMAn and he seems to look forward to the challenge.

890...that is ridiculously low...that is the kinda score you get for just writing your name and other information down correctly, right? I only took the ACT when starting my college search.

I think I just found my new favorite Tide player. That kid's attitude is outstanding, and it didn't sound like normal "oh, I'm talking to the press, I have to say the right thing" junk - it was genuine.

Not so fast my friend...Let's see if JP Wilson wants it. I do believe he should be given the choice. You guys act like he's chop liver. He's got the prettiest touch passes I've ever seen. Honestly, if it had been him throwing deep all year instead of Brodie...instead of being overthrown, they'd be TD's.

I'm not saying Brodie didn't deserve the starting job, because he dang sure did. He's amazing, we'll definitely miss him...but JP's touch passes are GORGEOUS.

You're right about JPW's touch passes. The long pass he threw to Brown in the UA/USC game looked like he just laid it in Brown's hands in stride for a TD. He is faster than Brodie so I look for the coaching staff to be able to make some improvements in the offence next year that wouldn't have been possible with Brodie. McElroy is going to be good but JPW is our QB for the next 3 years.

I agree and would love to see him wear #12. How great is it to see a young man coming in to play for the Crimson Tide who is not pompus or full of himself. I think this guy is going to turn out to be one special player.
