Or "88 reasons why Jesus is returning in 1988". We still have those pamphlets some freaks were handing out in our neighborhood back in the day.
While it is a kinda of nihilistic way to look it, it is true. I think we are conditioned into believing that democracy is pure and a perfect form of government but is like every creation… easily corrupted and can’t serve everyone all at once. One of the forefathers said of government, “ government is like fire in that it can keep you warm and safe but it can be a raging inferno if not constantly checked”LOL, no. My point is that a democracy is only as effective as the people doing the voting. Remember that next time you see some yutz waste an entire minute of his life trying to push his way through a door that’s clearly marked “pull.” My comment wasn’t so much a criticism of democracy as a criticism of the people upon which democracy’s ultimate success or failure relies.
Great quote from Churchill, "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."While it is a kinda of nihilistic way to look it, it is true. Literally was about to post this. Allowing anyone who can fog a mirror to vote is a terrible way to elect good leadership, but it's far better than any other form, where power will always be funneled to fewer and fewer.Great quote from Churchill, "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. The end of the world predictions have been occurring since the year 66. That is not an abbreviation. The first known prediction was in 66-70. Yeah I looked it up.Or "88 reasons why Jesus is returning in 1988". We still have those pamphlets some freaks were handing out in our neighborhood back in the day.
I think we choose way too much on emotions and less on merits. The problem with merit is that it is subjective person to person and it becomes a game of irrational emotions. Too many in the lower classes merit is wealth. But when you look at the wealthy you realize that too many inherited most of their wealth and have done little to expand it. I know a group of self made millionaires who think Trump is a great businessman because of his claims of being a billionaire. But when you look at it he inherited 90% of what he has and has bankrupted a casino and a successful spring football league. Those millionaires are far better at business than Trump ever was or ever could be because they went from nothing and became millionaires, but they are caught up with his wealth compared to theirs.Literally was about to post this. Astonishing, yes. If you really wanna lie awake at night, as yourself how many of these people haven't been caught yet. In my nightmares, I want to know how many politicians are being blackmailed for this sort of thing right now. (I'll bet it's more than we think. It's certainly more than what we'd be comfortable with.)It is astonishing how pervasive these sexual predators are in the GOP. They present themselves and fine, upstanding Christians when they are as far from being a Christian as you can get.
Dems have their issues too of course but the GOP does seem to have moreIt is astonishing how pervasive these sexual predators are in the GOP. They present themselves and fine, upstanding Christians when they are as far from being a Christian as you can get.
In his final reply included in the messages shared by Clemishire, Morris told her she was wrong to believe that he’d benefited from keeping secret what happened between them.
“You see the blessings God has poured out on my life and conclude that it is because I have hidden my past,” Morris wrote.
“God does not work that way. He will not be mocked by deceit.”
I give you a spiritual advisor for the former guy, Trump.Morris ended his reply with a legal warning.
“My attorney advises that if I pay you any money under a threat of exposure, you could be criminally prosecuted and Debbie and I do not want that,” he wrote. “If you need more information, have your attorney contact mine.”
