looks like the scumbag finally resigned

but it's totally cool: “It was kissing and petting and not intercourse, but it was wrong,” Morris said of the relationship to the Christian Post.

100K fools participate in this garbage humans church.

LOL, no. My point is that a democracy is only as effective as the people doing the voting. Remember that next time you see some yutz waste an entire minute of his life trying to push his way through a door that’s clearly marked “pull.” My comment wasn’t so much a criticism of democracy as a criticism of the people upon which democracy’s ultimate success or failure relies.
While it is a kinda of nihilistic way to look it, it is true. I think we are conditioned into believing that democracy is pure and a perfect form of government but is like every creation… easily corrupted and can’t serve everyone all at once. One of the forefathers said of government, “ government is like fire in that it can keep you warm and safe but it can be a raging inferno if not constantly checked”

Great quote from Churchill, "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

Literally was about to post this. Allowing anyone who can fog a mirror to vote is a terrible way to elect good leadership, but it's far better than any other form, where power will always be funneled to fewer and fewer.

I think we choose way too much on emotions and less on merits. The problem with merit is that it is subjective person to person and it becomes a game of irrational emotions. Too many in the lower classes merit is wealth. But when you look at the wealthy you realize that too many inherited most of their wealth and have done little to expand it. I know a group of self made millionaires who think Trump is a great businessman because of his claims of being a billionaire. But when you look at it he inherited 90% of what he has and has bankrupted a casino and a successful spring football league. Those millionaires are far better at business than Trump ever was or ever could be because they went from nothing and became millionaires, but they are caught up with his wealth compared to theirs.

I think the advantage a democracy has over a dictatorship is that it is more people having power and making decisions than one. That doesn’t mean there are instances in which a dictator is more effective than a republic and a democracy. Napoleon was far more efficient at governing than Robespierre’s republic ever was, and he stopped the chaos. Napoleon’s problem was that he couldn’t stop after 4 World Wars and had to fight 3 more. Rome was better under the Caesars than the post Punic Wars Republic. The Greeks were better under the Macedonian kings and warlords than they were under the republics. But the problem with dictators is that it is a roll of a dice of whether they are effective and there are no checks on power. Augustus and Marcus Aurelius are examples of good rolls of the dice but there are too many Commodus, Nero, and Caligulas to count. Then you have military generals who win power who think winning and ruling are the same thing. So living in a republic and democracy are far and away more stable ways to rule because they provide long term stability that one rule never can.

The closest thing the US has had to a dictator would be FDR given the number of terms he served. Eisenhower was Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe during WWII then ran for President. In their time, they basically had the power of dictators. FDR rebuilt a broken economy and led us through defeat of Germany and Japan. Eisenhower built the interstate system and helped establish NATO.

We aint rolling 7s at the craps table this time around. But if you think you will get anything resembling the above from Trump, a man who is craving dictatorial power for the express purpose of revenge and adulation of our enemies, then i dont know how to complete this sentence...

I just can't believe what i am typing in this thread, I never thought in my life I would be confronted with such.

In any other walk of life, if confronted by a person like Trump, we would blow them off or beat the crap out of them. But we want to give him and his ilk design control over our freedom going forward?

It is astonishing how pervasive these sexual predators are in the GOP. They present themselves and fine, upstanding Christians when they are as far from being a Christian as you can get.
Astonishing, yes. If you really wanna lie awake at night, as yourself how many of these people haven't been caught yet. In my nightmares, I want to know how many politicians are being blackmailed for this sort of thing right now. (I'll bet it's more than we think. It's certainly more than what we'd be comfortable with.)

Dems have their issues too of course but the GOP does seem to have more

this person has been capturing the data for a little more than a year, very interesting results but what we know for certain is that there are very, very few trans offenders and even fewer in Drag

but it's all good since he's been "forgiven"

some next level gaslighting

In his final reply included in the messages shared by Clemishire, Morris told her she was wrong to believe that he’d benefited from keeping secret what happened between them.

“You see the blessings God has poured out on my life and conclude that it is because I have hidden my past,” Morris wrote.

“God does not work that way. He will not be mocked by deceit.”

Morris ended his reply with a legal warning.

“My attorney advises that if I pay you any money under a threat of exposure, you could be criminally prosecuted and Debbie and I do not want that,” he wrote. “If you need more information, have your attorney contact mine.”
I give you a spiritual advisor for the former guy, Trump.

would you look at that, he is exactly who we thought he was
A perfect example of how victims are shamed and intimidated.

Oh, and the elders have known she was 12 years old at the time for years now, even though they put on an act like they just found out.

Which means they have been complicit in this for a very long time and only care about the optics now.

And have they done anything to restore this woman?

Of course not.

Yep, the Apostle Paul talked about the end times and John on the island of Patmos did as well. It is written:

jesus himself seemed to know

oddly this simple claim gets glossed over by most Christians or explained away with a really, really old Jewish guy still wandering around somewhere
