Men's Basketball Inside Game Too Much for Jackson State
For the first time this season Alabama started forwards Chuck Davis and Richard Hendrix along with center Jermareo Davidson. It was a lineup Coach Mark Gottfried may use again. Freshman Richard Hendrix scored 23 points, a career high, and grabbed 12 rebounds. Jermareo Davidson also had a career high in points with 22, and Chuck Davis added 17 as Alabama beat Jackson State 101-66.

Alabama took control of the game early and never let the visiting Tigers pull close. The Tide led 42-30 at halftime, but then opened the second half with an 18-5 run that put the game away. Alabama surpassed the century mark in points for the first time this season. Freshman Alonzo Gee added 14 points for the Tide and point guard Ronald Steele chipped in 11.

I'm really glad that CMG put Hendrix in the starting lineup. Yes, JSU was overmatched inside. But, we played with an intensity that I've not seen all year. I think that CD played really well from his new position. He showed alot of quickness w/ the ball last night. I'm encouraged.

I don't know if JF will get "it" together. He launches a half-court shot w/ about 5 seconds left before the half. I just don't get what he's trying to do.

And, he did it not once but twice!
