I had not seen this posted, but Michael Henig has given up football at Mississippi State. The kid was out of Montgomery, and he was gutsy as could be. Problem was that the guts led to injuries. He now has a chronic hip injury, and has decided to give up football.

I saw that and intended to post, but my intention was OBE today.

Sad for Michael, but some semblance of walking in 5-10 years > playing QB if one has to make that choice. He took an intense beating in the opening LSU game alone, and played...*searches*...exceptionally bad. I thought that game alone might've done him in. He is gutsy, as you say.

I hate that for him. He wasn't very talented, but he had loads of heart. Good luck to him in life.

His style of play kind of reminded me of a less talented Major Applewhite, gutsy. Best of luck, get your degree.

I wanted him to win that job so we could get even. I just can't stand the fact that we lost that game in 2006. However, I wish him the best.

Kid had loads of guts... that's for sure.

Hopefully, he can still work with the team and turn it into a coaching job.
