Maybe this is not the right thread but I was thinking who would want the Tech job and how can the AD get out of this mess.
Tubs would be a good fit at Texas Tech-- Plus this might take some heat off the AD.
Anything less than a proven winning coach the AD looks even more stupid.
Good Lord man, if you have your own law degree and your own lawyers do you sign a contract with vague language???? Another Darwin award is forthcoming.
It's been known for some time that Leach isn't exactly popular with some of the powers that be at Texas Tech. He's just an odd duck, and his personality doesn't exactly fit in well with the culture of Lubbock, TX. The fans love him, the students love him, but quite a few of the big wheel donors to the program apparently can't stand the guy.
Same thing - you do not take your employer to court if you want to keep your job in any profession (unless you are union :biggrin...
Just as a lot of poeple took an internet post that said that James was out partying and spreading it as fact?![]()
TEAM? Not just team! Bet he leaves campus, also. He'll welcome sheds and closets to hide on the Texas Tech campus. IMO, He'll be shunned, big time. I doubt the entire State of Texas will be big enough for him to hide. Bet he'll be a target for bullies. Just saying.
Sounds like Cutcliff at Ole Miss, and look how well that worked out for all parties involved.
I agree that going to court probably gets you fired, but so far there is no evidence that an internal hearing where Leach got his say. There was no due process of law at all...
just like alot of media outlets/internet posters took what Craig James has been saying and spreading that as fact, no one knows any facts outside of the people involved. its just a matter of what you choose to believe.

Even though I'd hate to see him leave SMU.. Texas Tech would be CRAZY not to throw millions at June Jones and staff....

You've taken everything anti-Leach posted on message boards as fact, so why can't those of us who are pro-Leach do the same?
You're acting just like ESPN. Guilty until proven innocent....
Employers need to be very cautious when the fire an employee who is suing them.
Imagine Apple or Dell or Ford have a woman that is being sexually harassed by her boss yet HR does nothing. The woman files a suit against her company.
If that company fires her then they give her the right to sue for wrongful termination AND they come off with a lot of bad publicity. I think it would be pretty costly for a company to do this especially for cases that may have a lot of visibility.
