Milroe v Marino

So true! Marino made it as a rookie I believe and did not get a chance to play in one again. Marino was a multiple time pro bowler and Hall of Fame QB, Milroe is not.

I think the more intriguing conversation is how when super talented quarterbacks make it to the SB early in their careers and lose. Most everyone says "they'll be back plenty of times". But in reality, that hasn't shown to be the case. Look at Marino, Joe Burrow, and now could very well be Drake Maye. Who would have EVERY thunk Dan Marino would not have made back to at least one more super bowl? Burrow now can't stay healthy enough to finish seasons and they can't field a defense to help their offense. The football gods can be very unkind.

Not really anything…humorous anecdote…
only if he had actually played in the game. The comparison is ridiculous. You just wanted to bring the guy name up again for some reason.

Burrow probably missed his shot. I doubt he ever makes another. His health might not hold up. Maye won't be back either. I am not sold on him as a great NFL QB. The really weird thing is Bo Nix might make a Super Bowl before Josh Allen. He might not ever make one. Allen might be on one of those NFLNetwork lists no one wants to be on like Greatest QBs to never win/make a Super Bowl.

Nix will make one because of the team around him, not because of him.
