Game Thread: Morning & Afternoon Kickoffs (9/20/25 11a-5p CT)

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

they said it again, Herby said Memphis looking for the CFB playoffs after beating an SEC team. Is that the standard? Beat an SEC team and you qualify for the playoffs? Second time today I heard something similiar .

they want it both ways...punish losses to other SEC teams but outside the conference an SEC win means more....they cant make up their minds

Yeah, nevermind Arkansas is ranked #15 in the SEC power rankings just ahead of Clanga. I don’t care what anyone says, this league is hard

It's not the QB - it's the play caller.
Lagway doesn’t look like 2024 DJ Lagway. His injury may have healed, but he is not the same Dude. You will probably have to wait until 2026 to get the 2024 DJ Lagway. Injury healed and move on from the mental side of getting injured.

Always makes me laugh that the BG10 tries to match how tough they are....they are a 2 team league...Oregon and OSU...Penn St plays a simple schedule ...maybe 2 tough games...look at our schedule, Oklahoma's, UF's or any of them...apples and oranges but its rare that its acknowledged by the pollsters or the committee...

I agree to an extent. But that QB missed some easy throws and is missing the burst he needs to escape a pass rush. I watched about 2/3 of the game and he seems to have heavy feet

Sure - but there's a reason for that and he's catching flack for something he didn't do.

It's like having a thoroughbred who is abused by the trainer. Like he was last week in Red Stick.

No way Napier should have him out there throwing pass after pass after pass until he gets more playing time.

Napier ran 2/3 pass plays last week.

Lags hasn't recovered from that nor from missing all spring practice and the majority of fall practice.

Napier should have been fired at the end of last week's loss to LSU.

H's not only inept....he's doing major damage to these kids who would run through a wall for him.

Go look at the highlights of Lagway from last year. You'll have a hard time finding a better freshman QB who played last season. He's the same guy.

I took it as "If they're good enough to beat an SEC team, they're good enough to be in the running for the G5 spot." Same for USF two weeks ago.

No, those teams aren't good enough to be true NC contenders, but someone has to take that spot

Bama did face them again in the SECCG several more times after 2009. Bama met them in 2015 and 2016. It was the last time they were relevant in the conference.
I mean sure. Because the divisional setup put them on top of a very weak East at the end of the musical chairs. I didn’t say they were horrible. If I recall correctly they lost 3-4 games both of those years. They were not competing for a national title at any point and didn’t put up too much of a fight in the SECC. I’m pretty sure McElwain got fired the next season too.

Yeah, but that just proves how asinine the format is. If they’re not good enough to win the National Championship, then they have no business being there.

Ok, but Arkansas is in the bottom 3 of the SEC. Let them beat an Ole Miss or Texas A&M …or an Alabama and then we can talk.
