My Official "I was wrong about ESPN"

Count me in on those who in the past had made a complaint or two about bias that ESPN had against Bama. Well as you can see I am an idiot and was obviously wrong.

One thing I dislike is when people make comments and then do not come back and say I was wrong. Well I was wrong....aparantly all you have to do to be on ESPN is win a championship. Bama is on ESPN so much I am tempted to get sick of them (but that will not happen).......but can you imagine what the barners must be going through?

Sorry I will not watch ESPN regardless of how much love they give Alabama. Wait until we lose a game and they will be back on the overrated, overpaid, media hating Nick Saban.

We as Bama fans think it's great to be getting the love and attention for our team now, but I hope that with sooo much of it this summer that Saban will be able to get any heads down that might be floating in the clouds come season start.

Well, I don`t think your an idiot. Heck, sometimes I don`t read so well, but I did read it.
What confused me most was the part that sickened you.
Bama has appeared on ESPN for a long time now, even in some of their bad years.
I think ESPN has always had very interesting games without the Bama spotlight for many, many years.

Well, Doc I have never been accused of being a nice, forgiving type guy and in all honesty do not watch ESPN unless there is a college football game or golf tournament on and it is usually on mute. I do think it is humorous to see a lot of our Tidefans members go off on ESPN when all they have to do is not watch it. You can lead a horse to water but you know how a wet horse smells. :eek2::eek2:

They dogged him (Saban) like no one else for leaving Miami to benefit ratings at his expense, which is a sorry. They peaked after the Yellow School bus game...............now they love the guy, proclaim him the best coach in the game blah blah blah.

I gave up expecting anything honest from ESPN about the time Gottfried had a stroke and moved off the main network.

What I dislike about today's commentary media is you have two guys debating a topic even if they both agree on an issue, one has to be the devils advocate, so you never know who really believes what. Nothing wrong with two people agreeing on something.

I will say this now and I will say it again. ESPN doesn't like us. They are pretending, it's all an act. I was telling this to a player that I was talking with while visting the football building last month. I said, don't listen to a thing they say, they are just waiting for you guys to mess up. They may act like they like you now, but don't pay attention to what they say or how they come accross. Just keep on doing what your coaches tell you and you guys will take care of the rest. :BigA:

Exactly. Which is why I get a little annoyed when I see people taking them so personally. It's like falling in love with a hooker.

Bingo, BN. That's why I watch them when they have something on I want to see (like, say, a game), and don't when they don't. I never take it very personally in either direction.

I don't disagree with what you guys are saying, I just love to see us getting put into a better light for a change. It's great for the program, recruiting, money for the university, Tidefans, ect.. It used to bother me when they disrespected us but have gotten over it with time (and age like you say exiled ). Now I just listen for information sake and entertainment and don't take it personally for the team.

Bama is a good story anytime. No matter if they're down or up. We bring ratings whether we're getting bashed or praised. We bring big time ratings which means big time money.
