I’ve seen the clip. I don’t know the context specifically but I do know the two coaches were reportedly “slinging insults” at each other.I missed the end of the Iowa/UF game because my wife and I watched Marshalls before the Bama game, but what happened between Golden and Iowa's coach???
The clip I saw looked like they wanted to go after it at midcourt. But what's the context???

I don't really care for that. Looked like one of the Iowa coaches just swatted at Golden's hand instead of shaking it.
As soon as Boogie was trailing Stirtz and let him catch it with a full head of steam and he was already beat, I told my son that's terrible defense and will lead to an open shot. He should have just stayed in front of him and made him work his way up the court. Him being beat immediately put everyone else in automatic help position and left the guy who hit the three wide open. Like you said, Florida made several bad plays down the stretch. Hough took some rushed bad shots, Brown missed one of the free throws right before the three, the bad defense on the press leading to the open 3, and a lack of awareness on the final play for a potential game winning shot. I was very surprised and it killed my bracket because I had Florida going back to the Final 4.Two players got locked up with a held ball and tumbled onto the floor. The part that infuriated Coach Golden was the Iowa player balling up his fist and thrusting it towards our player. He was livid as any head coach would be had this happened to one of their players.
Ultimately, the refs called it a dead ball double technical with Iowa retaining the ball and no free throws.
BTW, that Iowa player, #7 Folgueiras, was the one who shot the 3 at the end that put Iowa ahead by a point which led to their "walk off" win.
I think he should have been tossed, myself. The dumb announcer kept saying "His fist never landed....so shouldn't be a flagrant." But when a player balls his fist up and thrusts it toward another player - seems to me that should count for something.
Some are saying they didn't want the situation to escalate - thus the double technical. I think that's a load of BS myself.
And you guys all know I don't usually sound off on officiating - but last night we were getting all kinds of fouls on us that were very ticky tack. In fact, they ended up getting the SEC Defensive player of the Year, Rueben Chinyelu, in foul trouble early and he ended up only playing 19 minutes and ended with no points and 1 rebound.
At the end of the day though, all of those things were not the reason we lost. I think the team came in over confident, Iowa came in with a defensive plan that did the job on our offense, and essentially our coach got out coached. There's no other way to put it.
Also, for those who watched the end, Coach Golden's plan was to intentionally foul Iowa, but they ended up slipping past our press and getting the ball to their player on the side who got the winning trey. Our next possession with a chance to score was a mess with Lee trying to dish inside to Haugh with not enough time to get it off. Another mistake we made along with the previous defensive one.
It is what it is. We had a great run and hopefully will be back next season.
Here's that play in question:

Love Baz. But hate Golden.

Yeah, it started 25 minutes late because of a stupid segment on donuts and countless commercials...Our game will not start on time![]()
That bird must be 90 years old by now. My father saw him at a roadside attraction somewhere...But I did see one at the State Fair that was pretty good at playing the piano. But I think he was sober….
I don't think you are correct on that. They were waiting on the teams to warm up because of the game going longer in the previous game before them. All that "filler" stuff is just to try to entertain between games.Yeah, it started 25 minutes late because of a stupid segment on donuts and countless commercials...![]()
If you are looking for one reason UF lost the game here it is!Rueben Chinyelu, in foul trouble early and he ended up only playing 19 minutes and ended with no points and 1 rebound.
