My sister Gail, 54 years of age has just been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Prognosis is not good. From what I read, 32% of victims can live over 8 months and 2% can live for 5 years after treatment.
She never smoked, drank alcohol, nor did she ever do drugs. She lived a clean God filled life who was very active in church.
I on the other hand, Lived a life that was 180 degrees from hers and feel very guilty right now because I wasn`t the one chosen to suffer like her.
I guess the bad ones like me are left here on earth to suffer longer.
I`m just feeling really bad right now, but I know that God has a purpose for taking such a wonderful person.
All prayers would be appreciated.

Stage IV lung cancer here praying 15 months after diagnosis, w/ no apparent symptoms. (note: mine was melanoma that metastasized into the lungs.)

As I say, praying...

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways,
and how small a whisper do we hear of him!
But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

First, I want to thank you for your prayers.
Secondly, my sister Gail passed during the night. It was a struggle for her, But she fought until the end.
I guess it is normal that I feel a little guilt that maybe I could not do anything for her, but my guilt runs a little deeper, in that the way I lived my life so recklessly and she lived her life so devoutly.
I want to take this opportunity to apologize to anyone on this board whom I have been short with, but I struggled through her illness and to compound that I have been going through my own illness and probably should not have replied to any controversial subject.
Again, I appreciate your prayers, but I ask you again for them, not for me, but for my Mother and father who are the most loving parents of the daughter they lost.
I know that God hears all prayers and I have realized that prayers coming from my Tidefans family are especially sincere and heart soothing.
Thank you all.
