It's a good thing I retired because if I'd seen one of my students on free lunch come in with a pair of them, I probably would end up being fired. It was all I could do to keep my opinions to myself when one came in with a pair that cost him $150. Geeezzzzz!! Why would anyone want to pay that much for tennis shoes? And why do they appeal so much to those that can't afford them?
