Yes, Russell did look great on the college level. He had a cannon for an arm and it seemed like he would be a great NFL QB, but he was lazy. He let his body go and he didn't study.

Plenty of teams have done less with at least equal talent. But yes, this was a lost season for us.

Gibbs is a scat back. He is a good receiver out of the backfield and he can break a big run from time to time, but he is not a big back who can carry the ball 30 times a game. He can't be the bread and butter of a running game. I love that he went in the first round, but I am a bit surprised that he did.

Yeah, it was a weird pick. The Lions have a stable of good RBs - not a position of need - so why grab a 3rd down back there? Happy for Gibbs, but strange pick.
