Love Gibbs but I’ll forever remember him for the Tennessee game when all we needed to do was run the ball and run clock and threw incomplete to him on first down. (not his fault ) bob should have been fired on the spot. Thank the Lord he and Golding are GONE.

He was held on the play. One of the many ref atrocities in that game.

Yes, Russell did look great on the college level. He had a cannon for an arm and it seemed like he would be a great NFL QB, but he was lazy. He let his body go and he didn't study.

He surrounded himself with the wrong people. Guy who lived next to him when he was growing up did some concrete work for me, said when he got drafted all the undesirables from his ‘hood surrounded him and he wouldn’t push them away. Tales of his decline are everywhere down here; I heard some sold their homes on the river when he bought a house there, because of the 24/7 partying (and gunfire) that became the norm.
Cautionary tale if there ever was one.

I’m fairly certain you mean the team with king Henry which just happened to workout perfect for that dude. Somehow he always seemed to get better the more carries he had.

Jones/Davis/Whitehair/Jenkins/Wright is a very interesting OL for the Bears. Jenkins/Wright are going to be a nasty 1-2 on the right side for the Bears.

Congratulations to Gibbs for going at #12, but that is a head scratcher pick for the Lions, IMO. Not one draft analyst, even the ones that I have credibility, had Gibbs in the 1st round. Then Detroit, detroited!!! GET YO MONEY GIBBS!!!! GET YO MONEY YOUNG MAN!!!

I'm pretty new to paying a whole lot of attention to teh NFL draft, but the Eagles, who have one of the best rosters in football, seem to "get it" more than other franchises. Just look at the number of players they have from recent Alabama and Georgia NC teams.
