Almost-ish makes me kinda almost indifferent to who we hire (as long as they’re competent) bc how do you follow that? Like an open mic’er following Chris rock

side note I sincerely hope he’s getting his own wing at the Bryant museum and they have got to call
It Saban field. Bare minimum
Saban field at Bryant-Denny Stadium has a nice ring to it

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Saban started coaching at a time when the HC had more influence over the players and players were more loyal to the team. In recent seasons Saban , along with other coaches spent a lot of time recruiting players who get ticked off if they don't start and say "I'm outta here!" so I guess Saban got to the point where he thought "Is it really worth all this time traveling across the country to get players who leave if they don't get the starting job?"
We may later find out he intended to coach two more years but this circus show called the transfer portal and NIL was something he just had no interest in.

I hope Coach Saban and his family are in good health and they can enjoy retirement. But I would be surprised if NIL and transfers drove CNS out. He fears nothing and has been able to continually adjust to changing landscapes. From winning 9-6 to 50=30. In fact, he seemed to enjoy the challenge. whatevervthe reason, Bama football will never be the same. Thanks so much CNS!

That is possible. I read somewhere that people speculated it was either him or Ms Terry.............hopefully none of that is true and he can ride into the sunset in peace
A couple of players have tweeted/shared that coach spoke for about 15 minutes yesterday and the main reason he gave was “health related”. TA said it best when he posted about taking care of Miss Terry. Family is a hell of a lot more important than a football game.

Saban has known this day was coming all season. I hope they get to enjoy time together!

I have read from several people Ms Terry has a health issue. I think Terrion Arnold alluded to it ("Go take care of yourself and especially Ms Terry) and Saban in his statement said he was retiring due to his age and health issues in the family.

Apparently (from a supposed insider) a few people knew over the past few months, but not many, and they didn't know when he would actually retire. I sure hope the rumor about Ms Terry isn't true. I won't say what the rumor is but I have read it in several places. I hope they get to spend many more years together enjoying life together with good health.

I hope not either cause Mrs Terry is wrapped in crimson, as much as Coach Saban, they've earned the right too live life away from the football field..

So they can just finish "The Process" of loving & being married to one another..

I Worked a Double shift yesterday and then went to bed and am just now waking up to see this.

I'm a bit surprised but also not surprised.

I thought there was a 50/50 chance this would happen if we won the NC this year.

I did not think it would happen after a Semi loss and with Sayin coming in.

It's been a Heck of Ride and He's the GOAT and deserves to be able to slow down a bit and take it easy.

Thank You CNS for an Incredible 17 years!

I just don't like it when places do the "something" field at...

I know I may be the loan fan to think this but, drop Denny, he has the chimes. Saban-Bryant Stadium.

I know, I know. There would be way too much push back against that so, just suck it up and make it...

Saban-Bryant-Denny Stadium

No it doesn't roll off the tongue very well but, who cares. We'd all get used to it after a couple years. I'm sure when the name was changed from Denny Stadium to BDS, it sounded and felt weird to people.

Just don't do the field @ stadium thing. It's silly and nobody refers to the field part much. Just look at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. I never hear it referred to as Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, whether it is by TV personalities, online/print media or fans.
