I constantly told my youngest (who was born the year of our first title under Saban) to cherish it because it wouldn't last forever.

Those awards usually go to a HC who is perceived as doing ‘More with Less’ out of the Top 5-10 teams in any given year.

He should have a lot more coach of the year trophies, but they tend to give the trophy to coaches that go 9-3 at a school where that isn't very common.
