Alabama's defense is second in the nation in Points Allowed per game with 6.3 and Passing Efficiency Defense per game with 73.6 yards.

As can be said for our opponents... let's consider for a moment the offensive juggernauts that are DUKE, Penn State, and who else did you play again?

Oh, and before you go "PSU>GA"... everyone knows Penn State's quarterbacks and receivers wouldn't make the team at Georgia. As for their respective OL and DL... do I have to go there?

We could point to how awesome our defense is this year stat-wise as well, but every reasonable fan knows the true test is coming this weekend.

Garbage.

I quit reading when I read "Nick (I’m Not Going to be the Alabama coach) Saban."
I quit reading when I read "Honolulu Star Advertiser." As a former hawaii resident, I can assure you that the entire football knowledge base of that rag (as well as the rest of the state) centers around what to eat and drink in the parking lot of Aloha Stadium. A worthy subject on its own, but not quite the point. I stopped paying attention to local sports reporting there after I heard the local newspaper/radio guy bashing Coach Saban for firing Eli Gold back in 2008.

Ryan Mallet is a good QB, and he probably reminds the author of Colt Brennan. But much like Brennan, Mallet wilts under the pressure of the big stage (and no, arky/uga is not a big stage). That's why I am so happy to see Arkansas fans and the media just keep making this game bigger and bigger!

If our defense does what it is capable of, Mallet can't throw if he's lying on his back. If we can mix in some well disguised blitzes, and get pressure from the front four, it will be a LONG day for Mallet and Ark.

Not sure who "everyone" is; but think about it this way, both the AP and Coaches polls have Penn State ranked in their top 25. Georgia didn't even get a vote. Penn State is ranked #79 in total offense, while Georgia is ranked #81. Total Defense: Penn State-#34 , GA-#37.

Last year, Penn State soundly beat an LSU team that defeated Georgia in Athens. I believe that Penn State is a better program than Georgia right now. JMO.

Again, not sure about this "everyone" fella; but I don't think I'd listen to him.

To quote my friends at ESPN, "C'mon man!"

40 passes a game??? With the blitzes Bama is going to throw at them Coach Petrino may get Mallet hurt. Hope not but might. Look at the problems with Houston now.

That's just laughable. You show your "homerism" and ignorance of college football. That PSU QB you are dissing was one of the top recruits in the nation last year.

My but you are the clever one. We understand your support and love of your team but try to understand ours as well.
K Thanks

If we seem confident it's for a reason. Through the years the "Tide" has won much more often than not so we have come to expect to win...always. That's how it is and how it will be.
Yes sir

If you do not like or comprehend our dislike of others not expecting us to win, that is your problem, not ours.
So much for a little friendly rousing. Some of ya'll are wound a bit too tight.

If your team wins Saturday then it will have truly accomplished something great that will instantly become part of Razorback football lore. When we win Saturday it will be one more step toward yet another championship season.
True.

This is how it is and until Arkansas reaches similar heights in football, this is how it shall remain.
Yes sir

Good luck with the rest of your season and here's to stomping the ever loving snot out of your team this weekend. :BigA:
Thank you, sir. And good luck to you as well, sir.

I predict that Mallet will be considered 6'-6 long instead of 6'-6 tall in this game. Bring the heat.:BigA:

Oh, I disagree. He's a great QB...but just not against Alabama. Hopefully we will have our way with him like last year. In his highlights from last year, they certainly don't talk about his game against Alabama, do they? :biggrin2:
I'm not saying he isn't great. I believe he is but he isn't the second coming like every wants him to be. But no, I don't hear anyone talking about what the Tide put on him. Looks to happen again this year.

I believe the freshman QB Georgia had was pretty sought after aa well, and he was playing at home.

Waaah? You were dissing the PSU QB, why bring up UGA's QB? I guess you cannot defend your original post, so throw out a straw man argument. Whatever.....:rolleye2:

Oh, and before you go "PSU>GA"... everyone knows Penn State's quarterbacks and receivers wouldn't make the team at Georgia.
That would almost certainly be true of one WR position IF A.J. Greene had been playing, but UGA didn't have their best and the best (or second best from our position) WR in the conference available.

Plus, I don't really know how you can draw such a conclusion on PSU's true freshman QB and UGA's redshirt freshmen QB. Neither have seen enough playing time against quality opponents to make such a claim.
