I think calling Alex Pretti a terrorist before any of the facts were in (as one example) was egregious.
She was too keen on wearing tactical gear and not keen enough on managing and leading her department. As a cabinet officer, none of her subordinates were impressed by her donning fatigues and tactical gear. At cabinet level, I believe her job was to advise the president, argue before Congrss for the resources to enable the Department to do its job, establish priorities, and set the tone for the department (and the tone ought to be "quiet confidence and competence").

I learned all I needed to know about her when she published her memoir, including shooting her puppy. If you don't like a dog, and it's not performing* there are all sorts of humane ways to get it off your hands. Someone else would have been delighted to receive and train it. She went out of her way to kill it personally. That describes a sadist. Is it any wonder that she gave birth to a sadistic ICE corps? I think she gloried in their sadistic excesses. Her open affair with Lewandowski further delineates her character. She was obviously unfit for public office...

Her political astuteness was almost non-existent. I don't know what the percentage of households that own dogs but it must be obscenely high. I can't think of a single person I know that would "put down" their dog for any reason except for illness, extreme age, or biting/attacking. I'm sure there are farmers/ranchers that use animals for work purposes and don't get emotionally involved but that number would have to be a trivial percentage of the population. For an experienced politician not to understand the ramifications of publicizing something like that is unforgiveable.
That's really just on the surface. She could appreciate the revulsion it would cause without having the appropriate emotions a normal human would have. Her self-confession established she has neither. You'd think her editors would have conveyed to her how the public would react to that. I think they were dumb as a stump or they lack humane qualities as well. (Or she just overruled them.)
Trump fired Kristi Noem. He did it by tweet while she was giving a speech. She never saw it coming. Now she knows how her dog felt.
