Game Thread: Non-Bama Regular Season Game Thread (25-26)

The SEC seems way down compared to last year. I know last year was a historic year for the conference but we are hardly winning any marquee matchups this year. I noticed we are down to 8 bids in the NCAA tournament in Lunardi's current projections; that is down from 14 last year and I think that's where he had us at to start this year. That means there is going to be less margin for error in making the tournament field at the end of the regular season because you won't be able to ride the conference strength coattails. Teams better win games!

Looks like our non-conference schedule is much tougher this year.

Still early so we'll see......

I feel like in-bounding the ball is like special teams for football. A great team will specialize in making it smooth for their team and a nightmare for their opponents. I watched Kentucky in Coleman back in 1994 repeatedly have their players half a foot out of bounds interfering with the inbound passes of Alabama and the refs aggravatingly never called a delay of game or technical foul.

For me - those "life or death" in-bounds situations in the last minutes of a game are like 4th down conversions in football.

A good program has something in their back pocket and can pull it out when needed.

It certainly can't be looked at as "business as usual"....as the outcome of the game hangs on it!

The B1G, B12, ACC are very very top heavy this year. And our teams have played and lost to many of them. UK, you guys, Auburn have played tough but lost most of those.

If I had to guess - same reason others don't play more. Coach just doesn't see enough in practice for it to happen. Hopefully we'll see him more as we move through the rest of the season.

Don’t know if yall watched games yesterday. But UGA/Auburn, the LSU/A&M, and Florida/Mizzou games were all fantastic. Truly fun day of games. State beating Texas. Just a great day of hoops.
