What a strange game. We dominated the first 18 minutes, they largely dominated the next 30 or so, and then we close it out with a 10 minute TD drive.

We self inflict almost all of our struggles and most of the time it’s the offense that starts the downward spiral. This is not really an NC contender but then again, if we get a chance, all bets are off.

We should be safely in the playoff. But I believe in reality, next week is a must win.

It was a great win, and our guys played hard. But somebody needs to sit Deboer, and especially Grubb down and explain to them that the SEC is not the west coast where your opponent wilts if you get a 17 point lead. In the SEC your opponents fight back and you have to keep cranking things out until the clock runs out. No lead is safe and you can't just sit on things. You need to study an have and offense that matches up to what your opponent likes to do. I'm glad we won, but that second half wore me out.

I watched DeBoer and Grubb run those triple reverse throwback flea flicker halfback option Philly special plays in Washington with precision and execution. At Bama, those plays are destroyed in the first leg of all that. I don’t know if it’s the athletes in this conference or what, but they need to stop all that.

At Bama, those plays are destroyed in the first leg of all that. I don’t know if it’s the athletes in this conference or what, but they need to stop all that.

It’s the athletes. And the opposing coaches are that much better as well. This is the elite of the elite.

I can fully understand why Grubb got fired from Seattle after one season.

My only question, why did he have confidence in the defense? They got gashed from midway through the 2nd quarter on.

We won.

Good news ends there but we won.

And we 100% should be ahead of Oklahoma in the next CFP rankings. We have beaten LSU and Tennessee by more points, beaten Auburn by the same with many more rushing yards than they got, and and while they may have beaten Missouri by more points than we did, they got that game at home and we played it on the road, so that’s a wash. Yes, we DID have a much closer game against South Carolina than they did, but that is really the mark of a true champion. There are many other factors far more important than head to head results, and Alabama shines in all of them.

You think the above sounds ridiculous?

Well, you’re sort of right, and only somebody who consumes a steady diet of dryer lint and super glue would actually think anything I just said above is a valid argument.

Except for the fact, every point I just made in Alabama‘s favor has been made in the favor of other teams by the head honcho of the CFP.

I just want fairness, and apology, the candy machine to give me my Twix bar, and the head honcho of the CFP to be fired.
