Respectfully I disagree with this take.

I feel that Missouri came at us with violebt intensity and an intent of beating us by 20 in their building and we weathered the storm.

They looked tough as heck to me and we punched back. I'll take that as progress in "year two."
Today was definitely more proof of improvement since year 1, and game 1 of this season. We did not play a good game today. And still weathered the storm. On the balance I suspect Mizzou is an 8 win team. But last year we would have dropped this game.

Still much to improve on.

I know we won and I’m proud of these team for hanging in there and finding a way to gut out a win.
But I’m furious with what I’ve seen through the first half of this season with the damn cheap shots our offensive players are taking, especially our receivers. We are getting cheap shots every game. Shoulder shots and forearms to the head, and when reviewed they they wave off the targeting/PF.

So what is the point?

The goal of the targeting rule is it is supposed to be to remove the dangerous hits from the game. You want to tell me that a defender, throwing a shoulder or a forearm into a receiver or a running back’s head isn’t “dangerous”? It’s a fricking joke. Want to know why Ryan Williams is struggling this year? Because the guy has taken about four or five shots to his head this year. The guy is worried about taking a shot to his head, not catching the football.

From the radio broadcast postgame- we didn’t have a single play over 30 yards. Huge given Bama won the game.
This was a gutsy game on both sides of the football. Where this team is different from past Alabama teams is that we are not explosive in the run game and aren’t executing well enough in the return game to get explosive plays there. Only the passing game seems to produce explosive plays.

This is lot to take in from the game today. I'm truly upset with this win. There is nothing to celebrate at all about this game. The team should've won by 15-20 points. Points were there.

I'm going to highlight few things and I'm going to move on from this.

1. Offensive Line : Fromby needs to be taken out. He don't need to play no more for the rest of the season.
This is the best lineup for me personally: Proctor, Dewberry, Brailsford, Roberts, Carroll.... Let's roll with it.

2. WRs: They disappeared. They didn't run clean routes at time. WIlliams is more injured than we thought.

3. Miller is more important to the offense and losing him would hurt us.

4. Defense: DL did good job getting up there, and LBs gotta do better job of wrapping up . I thought Defense did good job today, minus few things here and there. Jackson unfortunately needs to be benched. Lee has done solid job so far.

5. Playcalling: I'm ready to throw the books at Grubbs and Wommack. They don't always put the team in the best positions at time.

Great win today, but I had some big doubts after that opening Mizzou drive. But the defense settled in nicely. They gave up some plays, and some points, but they didn't let the game get away from us. On offense, I thought we could have been much more creative at taking what Mizzou was giving. On that last third down, a QB bootleg would have easily got us the first down, as they never did account for a running Ty. But I will take the win. We're in the middle of an incredible grind and we're finding ways to win. Congrats BAMA.

Well a lot of people had this as a trap game and they were right.

If you told me Preseason we’d be 5-1 after 6 games I’d have taken it.

Just gotta go 5-1 or better in the next 6 and we’ll make the cut.

Roll Tide!!!
5-1 or better to start the season for 17th straight year.

Look at the bright side:

Defense held Pribula to 167 yards and 2 ints.
Defense held Hardy to 12 carries for 52 yards averaging 4.3 yards.
Lawson had 7 tackles with 5 solo.
Hill-Green has 7 tackles
Jefferson has 6 tackles
Overton 6 tackles
Pierre has 6 tackles
Hubbard has 4 tackles.
That's much better team wide efforts.

Bama made sure Mizzou went 1/10 on 3rd down.
Bama had the ball for 38:33 TOP compared to Mizzou 21:27.

Bad thing: we left 17 points on the board:

Thankful for the stressful win
We should have won by 10-17 points though
Hope Jam is ok, if not, going to be a long season in the run game.
It is officially Tennessee hate week! lol.
