When Germie scored #1 could have pushed him out of bounds. He even gave a TD signal once he scored. Maybe he had money riding on Bama winning.

Surely the db wasn’t thinking “I won’t tackle him so he’ll score and then we’ll have time maybe come back and score.” Surely not. Otherwise why was he hands off, didn’t even attempt to tackle Bernard.

FWIW, I'm not superstitious, but I found that when I was standing in the second half, good things happened for Bama. So I stood most of the 4th quarter.
