Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama @ Vandy...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

That’s been going on for the last few years. No, not as bad as I’ve seen this year but, it’s been a developing trend which I believe started after NIL.

Some of these players are making more than most position coaches at other schools. Our coaches are well paid but wouldn't be surprised if we have a few players that are banking close to same as their position coach.

Another thing, and it has nothing to do with the players but why is our offense not running the ball like they should? Sure the QB run is there but we have two great RBs in Jam and Justice, we should be running the ball at will on defense and controlling the game.

Instead we have multiple instances in every game this year where the offense comes to a screeching halt.

because milroe pulls the ball when he should give it on the read way more than he should. Cost us a lot tonight. was NOT the reason we lost, but he still doesn't execute that read well at all.

Nick Saban is no more! Long live the King! We need to get use to more losses in a new era! Still don’t think it’s as bad as Louisiana Monroe. I remember the 1984 loss, but we weren’t half as talented as we are now.

Y’all have a good night and Roll Tide!
We are still a competitive group with some major challenges ahead. I like our chances.

Main difference is that Saban didn't have his type of players that year and had to go with what he inherited. DeBoer inherited a garage full of Lamborghinis (or at least lambo-driving players) ;)

I just read that Pavia’s completion rate (80%) was the highest against Alabama since…..

….Stephen Garcia in 2010 (85%).

Trying to find a bit of a silver lining here and here's one thing to consider.

Saban did lose to ULM his first year. He had key players suspended, he inherited a far worse team, but still it was an ugly loss.

Part of the issue though was he didn't really have time to put together a Saban level coaching staff. His offensive coordinator was Major Applewhite who is now the South Alabama head coach.

So, here's to DeBoer making a similar adjustment and swapping out a head coach at South Alabama coordinator for someone else with similar results!

Entitlement.

I hope DeBoer gets a handle on that in a hurry. Not knowing how to win (like Auburn right now) is one thing. Not knowing how to lose is much uglier.
Agreed, the unacceptable behavior from 13 tonight better have consequences for him...or it will for teh entire team.

LOTS of bad discipline today. Lots of taunting, lack of focus, lack of accountability.
Yeah there was one time in the first half when the camera panned our sidelines when we were getting it “handed to us” and our players were laughing and cutting up. Some would say “they are just playing loose”. I took it as they simply weren’t “engaged”.
