I agree, but could also say that a more experienced WR, as the primary receiver on that play, might have gotten his head around faster and made a better play on the ball.
Milroe released the ball on time. He has too much trust in Williams, IMO.
so that's where we disagree. IMO, the ball was very late arriving as JM didn't start the throw until AFTER RW planted for the turn. On this one, he should have thrown it right as RW crossed the 35 and started to decelerate and then the DB doesn't have the time to close the gap. Even if RW got his head around faster, the ball would not have been there because he'd come back from the 38 to the 36 before the ball arrived. See below.
RW is STARING at the ball, he's fully turned around, waiting. The ball should already be in his hands but it's just barely across the 30 and the DB has had time to close the gap already and is in great shape to get the PBU. This DB already chose to not try to undercut the route and just play for the PBU.

Also, #5 was likely the primary as his route stopped half a count earlier. Honestly he was open (at least as open as these routes gets). His was similar but instead of a straight stop and back, it was a stop to the outside as the DB played inside shoulder. It was also there if the ball is on time.
