Just glad we weren’t on the road for this one. The crowd sounded great. Great win.
Yeah the crowd was fantastic. That’s my 30+ booger game and didn’t expect our fans to be very enthusiastic. But I was happily surprised. It never felt like they were ever in the game.
sweet win. Sweeter still knowing the boogers want be going to a bowl and they still are stuck with glorified high school coach.RTR!!

It was awesome seeing our home crowd packed & loud supporting our boy's..

Coach Saban always praised our home crowd for affecting our opponents for being so loud & I'm sure he was smiling as he watched our home crowd with pride yesterday..
Georgia and Auburn, the crowd was a huge advantage. Hope is back. Knowing is gone. The Saban era knowing you should win dampened the crowd noise. JMO

He inherited a much better team. Coming out of probation with less scholarship players to begin with, Nick’s first team had 9 players arrested in a year and a team leader arrested for distribution of Cocaine, plus the text book scam . Players and Boosters bucked Saban’s total control until they either bought in or got gone. . I guess we have forgotten where Mike Shula left this program.
My point was more that the focus and cohesiveness of both teams probably weren't that dissimilar. Obviously the circumstances surrounding the program (and the sport) are not really comparable.

Instead of a making a hundred bucks off their textbooks, today's kids are making 10,000 times that in NIL. Now pretty much anybody can pay the players directly and no one bats an eye (much less gets suspended). But that has caused the players' motivations to change drastically. Now they're more worried about how much NIL money they're making than they are about winning. The "team" is a much less significant consideration.

Do you think CNS really had "total control" in his last couple seasons? He pretty much admitted that he didn't and that was the main reason he hung it up. This team and its players were a huge part of that.

Ultimately I would say that a team this "talented" stumbling to a .750 season (with some bad losses) isn't that much different than the 2007 team finishing at .500. And I think the me-first attitudes of this team's players contributed heavily to that which - back to the original point - is not that much different from 2007...

Does the barn realize how incompetent Freeze is?

I was most worried about our inability to stop the run and that we would be Jarquez Hunter'd to death, but he barely touched the ball. I saw a stat where out of 9 plays in the redzone, Hunter got the ball once, and it was an incomplete pass.

Kind of incredible incompetence, really. We turn the ball over 4 times and still win by 2 scores.

It's almost like he was a good coach 10 years ago but the game has totally changed since that time and now he's in over his head or perhaps simply doesn't care and just wants his check.
