BTW where was the little Aubie LB who said they would never lose to Bama while he was there. Sounds like someone was writing Wolf checks to big for his behind to cash. Some on here have said they have no joy over the Barney win. I have nothing but joy 🤩
He was last seen crying and hiding from everyone.............poor Demarcus Riddick

I would say, as a Data Scientist who manages teams of Data Scientists, that the FPI is flawed. There is no way Alabama should be ranked that high after losing to Vandy and being blown out by a pitiful Oklahoma.
IMO, if Alabama gets in, which is likely a little better than a 50/50 proposition, they will deserve it this year.

UGA WAS far outplayed by a 5 loss ACC GT team, should have lost to an 8 loss UK team, dominated by OM and more. OSU was beaten at home by a 5 loss, badly coached Michigan team and beat 2 teams with a pulse with the highest payroll in the country. Whoever comes out of the ACC and Big 12 will have beaten no one. PSU beat only #23 Illinois. USCe beat 2 ranked teams but no one who will be ranked in the Top 20 on Tuesday. Etc.

Alabama has beaten one top 8 team, one top 13 team and another top 25 team.

IMO, if Alabama is fortunate enough to get in they will be as deserving as over half of the field.

There are no great teams, just a bunch of good teams many of whom can beat the others. Alabama is in that group.

I've never heard of the Top 8 and Top 13. Where did those specific metrics come from?

Yeah I gotta say I think we deserve it over Georgia if they don't win the SEC. I don't care if they made the SEC title game or not, we should honor the head to head if teams have the same record. The committee doesn't have the courage to do it, but they should.

Interesting that DeBoer has a better record in Y1 at Bama than Saban and Y1 at GA for Smart.

Not saying, just saying. Things to work on but overall I'm not unhappy with how Y1 has gone for DeBoer.
It's always interested me that the disciple who stayed with Saban the longest turned out to be the most successful...

Edit: Saban left DeBoer much more to work with than Shula did...

UGA will likely be a top 8 team on Tuesday and USCe will likely be a top 13 team. That’s better than #’s 23 & 20. That’s my only point.

I'm not sure I follow what your confusion is, but check out BCSKnowHow on X. They're very solid.
What’s not to follow, nothing could be the BCS formula, , the Harris Interactive poll no longer exists. It was used as part of the BCS formula along with The coaches poll and the Sagarin ratings.
A new member with only 4 posts after the Auburn game , they are in response to my posts . I think I smell a Barner. Moo.

I've always compared DeBoer to Urban Meyer (without the baggage), and Urban also went 9-3 in year 1 at Florida. It's probably also the most comparable roster situation for year 1. Say what you want about Ron Zook, but he could recruit, and our roster isn't quite what it has been.
