Heck of a game.

Few things I've noticed from last night game but I'll try not to repeat same thing that most of us are saying.

First half v.s. Second half offense: day and night. We were super aggressive and we had them where we wanted them. I don't understand why we went with conservative playcalling in second half. You can't do that against teams like Georgia. I hope Deober and OC learned their lesson.
They definitely opened up the playbook and I think going forward, we will be okay.

Ryan Williams is unreal!
Jalen Milroe: say what you want but he's a QB and after last night, he's definitely gonna be top three NFL QB prospect. He's continuing to show everyone he's improving and getting better each week. He's not the same quarterback he was last year. Immediate throws were there last night.

Use of the running backs: I wouldn't worry about them. Take what defense gives to you and go with it. I expect us to run a lot next week.

Defense. They were aggressive I'm first half and I think they just tired in 2nd half because offense didn't help with conservative playcalling. One thing I'll say this: we shouldn't be this tired with the depth we have. That's something to monitor going forward.

They targeted Brown ten times!!!! He will be a better player at the end of the year. Just be patience with him. You can tell he finally learned by turning and grabbed interception at the end of the game.

I see issues with DL and it'll be a continued problems throughout the season. It is what it is at this point but we can manage it.

This game should've been 50-20.... But hey take the W.
I’m happy to admit that Jalen proved me wrong by doing some things in the passing game of which I didn’t think he was capable. I still think he’s some kind of a RB/QB hybrid freakazoid, though! And I mean that as a compliment!

The first 3 games there were receivers who consistently got behind our DBs , but the QBs we played against all stunk and didn’t get them the ball. Tonight that was exposed a bit. But our guys are really young, and made a great play at the end to win the game, in addition to two other INTs. They’ll keep learning.

Also, don‘t discount the fact that UGA was forced to go for it on 4th down over and over, and converted them all. It had to have been 7 or 8 times, when you count penalties that turned into 1st downs. In a closer game, not at the very end, that equals 7 or 8 punts. Never stopping them was sad, but getting to 4th down was good!

I’m really happy with the win!
You could tell that was their strat. The first play they ran was a shot play. I think the third play they ran was a shot play. And then when they got the ball back they ran 2-3 shot plays. Goat coach called them out on it at halftime. And tbf, we have shown them that we are vulnerable to the deep ball if the QB can get it to them.

UGA had 87 rushing yards. 87. That's not winning football for them.

They completely abandoned the run from the jump. Shocking really.

It was their only path to victory. And it almost worked. Running the ball eats clock, and they could not afford those kinds of drives. The one in the 3rd quarter ate 6 minutes, so they just stopped trying.

This is what no one seems to be considering. Yes, they were perfect on 4th down going 5 for 5. And yes if we stop them on just 1 of those it likely makes the game meh toward the end.

But, Georgia had a tremendous advantage knowing that in the 2nd half they were going to have 4 downs on every possession. They basically played half the game 4 downs to our 3 and that was the biggest difference. I knew as soon as they went for it on 4th down at their own 30 or so in the 3rd quarter the second half was going to be a long one!

That's tough on a defense and yet, we finally made a stand!
And honestly, props to Kirby for making the decision to be that aggressive. One of those was a 4th and 5 at about his own 20.

Idk what caused this comment to pop up but what are we doing here? Lol Milroe put up almost 500 yards and had 4TDs against Georgia.

Pretty sure crimsonaudio posted something that said no player has ever run for 100 and passed for 300 + 2TDs against a top 5 team in the history of the AP or something like that.
Yeah, milroe has warts in his game.

But he's also the best player on the field.

I have my criticisms of him, but I am REALLY glad he's ours.

The adjustments Kirby made, was putting 2 men out to cover the outside where we had huge success in the first half. It worked, and stopped our outside plays. But I didn't see any compensation for that by Bama. There didn't seem to be any plan B for Kirby making adjustments like that. But then, I'm not an X and O person.
I was perplexed that we didn't go inside run much at all in the second half. I understood why we went perimeter run game to start the game, but when they adjusted for the perimeter game and opened up the middle, we never took advantage.

Yeah. It was the only strat after we went up 28. But they started the game that way. And it makes sense if you look at our tape up to this point. Just surprised they went after it right out the gate.

The "problem" is Milroe is touching the ball 50 times a game. He threw 34 times and ran 16 times. Those 16 rushes are severely eating into the RBs carries. But it is what it is.
there was on instance where Milroe should have handed the ball off but kept it. He got buried by uga's D. I believe it was 2 plays before the FG?
