Band aid decisions have been made since 2021 thinking we could squeeze 1 more NC... Going retro ain't the solution.

This is leadership, coaching, recruiting, and conditioning.

Ole Miss is coming up in 2 weeks. They don't have the personnel to beat us but they will have this tape, Kiffin, and Golding smelling blood in the water. They will be on the phone with Sark and his staff in the morning. We get the same performance by Milroe and the OL and that game will closer than it should be.
They will win if we are not more physical and pressure the QB.

We're trying to re-establish the run... Fair enough.
But it's doesn't look at all like it's for balance. It looks like we're doing it because we don't trust our passing game. And we don't. We know it and UT knew it within half a quarter.
Stating the obvious... but we've got to fix that.
In spite of the big plays, I like the physicality of our D better than recent years. I'm thinking we'll see improvement there. Not sure about O.
Hurts and Tua and Jones and Young are hard acts to follow.

Blake sims actually improved from the previous season. Milroe doesn't seem to have improved. Sadly i see a lot of similarities to fsu in the last six years under Bowden. Not a knock on Coach at all. Don't take it like that. But over time staff turnover takes a toll. Now add the transfer portal when a freshman doesn't want to wait and develop and then NIL also on top of that. It is no longer about playing for a top notch coach who will put you in the nfl. Even Ewers went to osu because of a promised nil deal. Then when he didnt get the playing time he WANTED he was given a nice little nil deal to come back to texas. I was born in 71. The last few years of Bryant. I have seen hi's and the three mikes. Was elatwd when Saban was hired cause i knew Bama would win maybe 3 N.C.'s. Never in my wildest dreams would I have belived what we had since 07. Just like rules changes had an effect on Coach Bryant they have had an effect on Coach Saban. But, atleast it hasn't been as bad for Bama as it has been for my Oakland Raiders. I know its Las Vegas but they will always be Oakland to me.
I'd take Blake Sims right now..................

I felt this coming all day and I agree we probably have seen the last of our glory days . The O line was absolutely AWFUL …. Penalties and more penalties contributed greatly to this loss …. Im sad and disheartened but like someone said the sun will rise tomorrow. Losing a football game is definitely a first world problem for fans so I try and keep it in perspective.I’ve been a Bama Fan my entire life and that’s not gonna change because we lost….. that’s what all these Jawga fans I’m surrounded by do …. Fair weather fans everywhere !!!!! And Last but not least ROLL DAMN TIDE !!!!!! Take care all !!!!

More CNS presser:

Milroe "didn't get the "poor me's" at any point. Had good sideline demeanor."

"Until end with 5 min to go we had a chance to stop them but jumped offside"

"all plays they made were explosive plays. They didn't make explosive plays in 3Q and we were able to get off field on 3rd down. We knew they would take explosive shots and they made them. We didn't make 'long foul balls' happen"

Like CNS said o his post game press a few seconds ago, we can either throw in the towel or try to get better. Maybe some of the folks on here need to choose. RTR my friends.
There is literally nothing you or I can do to impact the team. Whatever you choose is great but meaningless. It's the same with posts by some message board fan telling other fans to not look ahead to the next opponent. It doesn't matter what I do. I just watch the games and have fun doing it--even tonight.

3 of the 6 highest ranked recruiting classes in history are on campus right now, yet this is the result. Something isn’t right.
Exactly what I was thinking. Don’t know whether the rankings are bogus or the players aren’t being developed, but we don’t have the same type of impact players we used to have.

Where is the DL? That’s one of the key areas that could have made a difference in the outcome of this game.

Saban should take the blame for this one. He at least had to try making a change, ANY change. But he didn’t.
Unfortunately, I think he's playing the hand he dealt himself. I'd be willing to give back some wins over the last four years if people were still afraid to play us. 2010 was more fun than this.

I can live with Stephen Garcia having the game of his life, but Ewers was just pedestrian today.

I think the reaction to Bama's loss is little bit of overreaction. This is early in the season. Game 2. We'll know more about the team in coming weeks. This is what I saw tonight and needs to be fixed.

1. LT and LG had rough night. Proctor at this point has been struggling for two weeks in a row. I think a change is needed for OL line. Not just Left side, but at Center. Move Dalcourt to Center and make some adjustments there. There was no reason for Milroe to be under lot of pressure nonstop.

See what Saban said on this:

2. Milroe was under pressure all night long, but he didn't make great decisions here and there. Two Interceptions were bad because he telegraphed the throws. He must improve in coming weeks.. and sadly I don't think he can get better in time. Milroe was our best choice tonight, like it or not. I did not like how he read the field at times, and he should've ran when he had an opportunity. He was indecisve tonight. Too many mistakes. Guys were open tonight.

3. I'm very concerned about our DL/LB and their inability to stop the run, and we can't even generate pass rush. So, I'm wondering if some of bad habits was from last year under Golding, or we simply aren't developing them.

4. Safeties/CB: Arnold got burned several times and he kept holding them all night. He saved touchdowns, but he shouldn't be doing that. Safeties were out of position several times throughout the game.

5. Communication issues between Safeties and LB. Lot of that going on tonight, and both times it led to touchdowns.

6. The C had several illegal snaps and low snaps tonight. I don't know why he was off, and I hope he fixes that quick.

Worry level right now: 6 out of 10. Can this be fixed? Yes. Can this be a 2 or 3 losses team? yes.

I expect few changes at some positions next week.

We will be fine. Step off the ledge and get some sleep. We'll be fine.

I have follow Alabama since the 70's and can say programs like this might get low but never grow insignificant. I will hang on with hope for this season or the next or next until I go. I'm not done with this season anyway like all the others. Roll Tide!!!

I wonder sometimes if Father Time is catching up to him and the inevitable slow down most experience isnt also catching up
I believe so. Last year someone told me I was insane for not having any faith in the GOAT and the best was still.yet to come. The best is NOT still ahead. I just don't understand how anybody can really believe that.

What else can he say? But if he truly believes this we weren't watching the same game and we have bigger problems than we think.

We are approaching an emperor has no clothes moment if changes arent made...
